🚨 FREE Emergency Preparedness Training in Albertson!

The NY Citizen Preparedness Corps is hosting a free training at Shelter Rock Public Library to help residents learn how to prepare for and respond to emergencies and disasters.

165 Searingtown Road, Albertson

Participants will learn practical steps for creating a family emergency plan, preparing emergency supplies, and responding to severe weather and other emergencies.

🎒 Each family that attends will receive a FREE preparedness kit!

Registration is required. Visit prepare.ny.gov or scan the QR code on the flyer to register.

A great opportunity for Albertson and our surrounding communities to make sure we're prepared when an emergency happens. Please share with your neighbors!

🚒 Honoring Local Heroes ❤️

We are proud to recognize the incredible bravery and selfless actions of the volunteer firefighters who helped save the life of an elderly resident during a house fire in Roslyn Heights.

The Town of North Hempstead recently honored members of the Albertson, Roslyn Rescue, and East Williston Fire Departments for their courageous response and teamwork under extremely dangerous conditions. We are especially proud to see the Albertson Fire Company members recognized for their dedication to protecting our community. Their quick actions truly made a difference.

Thank you to all of our volunteer firefighters for your service, commitment, and willingness to answer the call, day or night. You are the very best of our community. ❤️🚒

Today, we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, honor those who have served our country, and appreciate the strong sense of community that makes Albertson such a wonderful place to call home.

We wish all of our neighbors a safe, joyful, and memorable holiday filled with family, friends, and celebration.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our Spring Social! 🌸

It was wonderful to spend the evening with neighbors, friends, and members who help make our community such a special place. Events like these remind us how fortunate we are to have such an engaged and supportive community.

We were also proud to recognize Dan Giordano of the Albertson Fire Company and present him with a certificate in recognition of his generous commitment to the betterment of our Albertson community. His partnership helps us build a stronger, more connected neighborhood, and we are grateful for his continued support and service.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to the local businesses and individuals who generously donated raffle prizes.

The Mineola Council of PTAs is hosting a Community Budget Night along with a Meet the Candidates forum at Mineola High School. It’s a chance to learn about the proposed school budget, understand what it means for students and families, and hear directly from Board of Education candidates.

Join us on Thursday, April 23rd at 7:30 PM at the Albertson Fire House for an important community discussion.

We’ll be hearing from local leaders and organizations on topics that impact our neighborhood, including:

• Plans for a proposed day care center at the former Rite Aid site
• Updates from Shelter Rock Library
• Community safety insights from the 3rd Precinct
• Upcoming civic events and a potential community garage sale

This is a great opportunity to stay informed, ask questions, and connect with your neighbors.
