REMINDER: Tonight is The Albertson Civic’s 2026 Meet the Candidates Night!

We have invited candidates from both major parties who are seeking to represent our community:
• U.S. Congress, 3rd District: Tom Suozzi and Mike LiPetri
• New York State Senate, 7th District: Jake Blumencranz and Rory Lancman
• New York State Assembly, 16th District: David Hassid and Kim Keiserman
• New York State Assembly, 19th District: Edward Ra and Colleen Conaughton
• Nassau County Legislature, District 9: Scott Strauss and Juleigh Chin
• Nassau County Legislature, District 10: Mazi Pilip and Skylar Epstein
• North Hempstead Town Supervisor: Jennifer DeSena and Sean McCarthy

Membership is required for admission. All Albertson residents are welcome to join, and annual membership for your household is only $15. Join online at thealbertsoncivic.com or become a member at the door.

Current members will also be able to watch live on Zoom. The link will be emailed before the event, but we encourage you to attend in person for the best opportunity to participate in the discussion.

🚨 FREE Emergency Preparedness Training in Albertson!

The NY Citizen Preparedness Corps is hosting a free training at Shelter Rock Public Library to help residents learn how to prepare for and respond to emergencies and disasters.

Participants will learn practical steps for creating a family emergency plan, preparing emergency supplies, and responding to severe weather and other emergencies.

🎒 Each family that attends will receive a FREE preparedness kit!

A great opportunity for Albertson and our surrounding communities to make sure we're prepared when an emergency happens. Please share with your neighbors!

🚒 Honoring Local Heroes ❤️

We are proud to recognize the incredible bravery and selfless actions of the volunteer firefighters who helped save the life of an elderly resident during a house fire in Roslyn Heights.

The Town of North Hempstead recently honored members of the Albertson, Roslyn Rescue, and East Williston Fire Departments for their courageous response and teamwork under extremely dangerous conditions. We are especially proud to see the Albertson Fire Company members recognized for their dedication to protecting our community. Their quick actions truly made a difference.

Thank you to all of our volunteer firefighters for your service, commitment, and willingness to answer the call, day or night. You are the very best of our community. ❤️🚒

Today, we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, honor those who have served our country, and appreciate the strong sense of community that makes Albertson such a wonderful place to call home.

We wish all of our neighbors a safe, joyful, and memorable holiday filled with family, friends, and celebration.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our Spring Social! 🌸

It was wonderful to spend the evening with neighbors, friends, and members who help make our community such a special place. Events like these remind us how fortunate we are to have such an engaged and supportive community.

We were also proud to recognize Dan Giordano of the Albertson Fire Company and present him with a certificate in recognition of his generous commitment to the betterment of our Albertson community. His partnership helps us build a stronger, more connected neighborhood, and we are grateful for his continued support and service.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to the local businesses and individuals who generously donated raffle prizes.
