A small but mighty crew of parents and family members helped sort 7,617 rubber ducks following our 18th Annual GHA Rubber Duck Derby. We are so grateful to our family volunteers for always supporting GHA Autism Supports during fundraising season as well as throughout the year!

Many thanks to our community for supporting the 18th Annual Rubber Duck Derby! Today we celebrate our volunteers, sponsors, duck adopters, GHA staff and the Stanly County YMCA and their staff for helping us with a “quack-tastic” fundraising event. It’s always fun to see 7,617 ducks race to the finish line for the $3,000 grand prize. Until next year…

Sunshine and sweet local berries! 🍓 Our Wilmington folks had the best day at a local strawberry patch. We handpicked buckets of juicy, sweet berries. Nothing beats farm-fresh strawberries!

What a quacking success! The 18th Annual GHA Autism Supports Rubber Duck Derby made a huge splash today as 7,617 ducks raced their way to the finish line!

Congratulations to our winners:
🥇 1st Place ($3,000): Al Sadowsky
🥈 2nd Place ($1,000): Lisa Burris

Thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a tremendous success. A very special thank you goes to our incredible employees and volunteers who served as our “duck dumping” team today and to the volunteers who will continue their hard work next week by assisting with the inventory and organizing of thousands of ducks. Your dedication and willingness to jump in wherever needed makes events like this possible!

We are also incredibly grateful to our countless sponsors whose generosity helped support this event, and to every individual who purchased ducks this year. Your support directly helps GHA Autism Supports continue making a difference in the lives of over 100 individuals with autism.

A huge thank you also goes to the Stanly County Family YMCA for graciously hosting our Duck Derby year after year and helping us create such a fun and memorable community tradition.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for helping us make waves for autism supports and services. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
