Bible Visuals International With ministry partners worldwide, BVI is committed to helping children see Jesus. Bible Visuals is located in Akron, Pennsylvania just north of Lancaster City.

Bible Visuals International (BVI) is a nonprofit publishing ministry that creates and distributes affordable, accessible, and adaptable children’s ministry materials. Despite the scope of its materials, it is a small organization with only three full-time employees and two part-time employees. A Board of Directors made up of local Christians also help guide the ministry. In addition, freelance art

ists along with faithful volunteers and translators allow BVI to continue to exist for the furtherance of the Gospel. BVI is a 501 (c)(3) organization meaning that donations play a major role in the existence of the ministry.

Don’t waste your summer!

This summer BVI has an exciting family challenge with fun prizes (including a prize drawing for Sight & Sound tickets!) Children ages 3-13 are able to participate for prizes, but this challenge is for the whole family to grow together in the faith. Visit BibleVisuals.org/Summer26 to learn more!

Our hope is that as children READ Christian biographies, GATHER around the Word of God as a family, and WALK by the way through Bible-based family activities, your summer is full of both fun family memories and meaningful discipleship conversations.

Here’s how to participate:
1. Pick up or print out a form for each child ages 3-13. Download and print forms and activity pages at BibleVisuals.org/Summer26. Or pick up forms and printed activity pages at the BVI office (650 Main St, Akron, PA 17501). Visit us any time between 9am and 4pm Tuesdays or Thursdays, or call ahead at 717-859-1131 to ensure someone will be at the office.
2. Complete required tasks: 2 tasks from the READ and GATHER categories, and 3 activities from the WALK category (detailed information at BibleVisuals.org/Summer26).
3. Turn in your form at the BVI office by 9/1/26 for a prize package and an entry into the Sight & Sound tickets prize drawing! Complete all activities in the WALK category and get an extra entry into the ticket drawing. Earn an extra prize by sending a photo of activities to [email protected].

Not local? Not a problem! You can still join in by partnering with your church, school, etc., to plan prizes for your community, and you are still able to enter to win Sight & Sound tickets! Visit BibleVisuals.org/Summer26 for customizable forms.

At the end of April we gathered at Shady Maple for our 67th anniversary banquet. Our theme focused on the Acts 2:39 promise of salvation “for you, for your children and for all who are afar off.” First, a “for you” video testimony reminded us of God’s work in our own lives. We honored Mike Battaglia for his ongoing 20 years of service on our board. We also introduced new board member, Kate Kiehl, who shared of God’s work in her family during the “for your children” portion of our evening. Dr. Renton Rathbun spoke next and encouraged us in the work of creating a stickier Christian Worldview in the next generation. We finished up the evening with a world-wind Google earth tour of BVI partners and the “afar off” as God continues to draw people from all nations and all generations to Himself.

If you love BVI's illustrated hymns, we have exciting news for you! We just released TWO brand-new additions to the collection!

While these hymns are new to BVI's library, they are likely very familiar to you. Holy, Holy, Holy and The Solid Rock are both timeless hymns that help children reflect on the character of God and the hope we have in Christ.

Each of these hymns is available now in both print and digital formats with beautiful illustrations accompanied by clearly printed lyrics. They also include additional resources like sheet music, memory verse posters, and teaching notes to help children reflect on the meaning of the words they sing. The BVI banquet is TOMORROW! We are so excited to hear from our special guest, Dr. Renton Rathbun, who has served as a college professor and textbook author for over 25 years. He speaks on biblical worldview and apologetics across the country and hosts the Apologetics-focused podcast, The Renton Rathbun Show (www.rentonrathbun.com).

Last weekend we had the joy of hosting a Planting Seeds Family Conference at Harborcreek Community Church near Erie, Pennsylvania. Josh Scherrer serves as pastor here, so this was also a sweet reunion for our families. Together we considered God’s good design for the families to gather in His Word. This summer pastor Josh will be accompanying me (Tom) and helping to teach as we travel to Mongolia to host a family conference there with our partners!
