Reactions from the cell blocks so far:
🐾 Several inmates have filed complaints about their mugshots. Denied.
🐾 Inmate #52, Frodo, would like it noted that "po-ta-to" is not a breed. Under review.
🐾 The Juvenile Block has requested a page of their own. Also denied.

The Warden would like to remind all inmates that a public record is not a bad thing. It is how the right family finds you.

Well, well, well… looks like the Warden has another mouth to feed. 😂

Meet Inmate #54 — DOLLY 🐾🔒

Dolly is a 2-year-old Boxer mix weighing in at a respectable 45 pounds of potential criminal activity.

She has been spayed and microchipped and is currently serving time in one of our Halfway Houses (foster home) while her foster deputies gather additional evidence on her behavior.

So far, Dolly’s disciplinary record is annoyingly clean.

No food aggression. Good with the tiny humans. And apparently she’s behaving herself in the Halfway House.

We don’t trust it. 👀😂

The Warden has been doing this long enough to know that eventually the truth comes out.

Maybe she’s a counter surfer.

Maybe she’s a professional blanket thief.

Maybe she runs an underground treat-smuggling operation.

Nobody is this innocent. 😂

For now, Dolly will remain in her Halfway House while we continue learning about her personality and determine what kind of permanent home will be best for her.

Our amazing groomer at Purple Pawprints Dog Grooming has some openings THIS WEEK, and we’d love to help fill her schedule! 💜

This wonderful woman does ALL of the grooming for the inmates of Last Chance Ranch completely FREE OF CHARGE. That means every bath, nail trim, haircut, de-shedding session, and inmate makeover she gives our crew is her way of giving back to the rescue. ❤️

So now we’d like to return the favor.

If your dog is starting to look less like a distinguished citizen and more like they’ve been on the run from authorities for six months, it may be time to turn yourself in. 😂

🐾 A Special Donation in Memory of Abbey 🐾

Today, the inmates of Last Chance Ranch of South Carolina received a very special donation from the Dyer family.

After the passing of their beloved Abbey, the Dyers chose to honor her memory by donating her things to our Ranch so they could be used and loved by animals who are still waiting for their second chance. ❤️

We know these weren’t simply dog things. They were Abbey’s things—things that carry memories of a dog who was deeply loved. Choosing to pass them along so another animal can benefit is an incredibly meaningful act of kindness.

From the Warden, Deputies, and every inmate at Last Chance Ranch, thank you to the Dyer family for thinking of us during such a difficult time.

Abbey may have crossed the Rainbow Bridge, but a little piece of her love will live on here at the Ranch. 🌈🐾

Rest easy, sweet Abbey. Your belongings have officially been transferred to the inmate population, and we promise they’ll be put to very good use. ❤️🐶

Tomorrow from 11 AM–2 PM, Last Chance Ranch will be at Hollywood Feed in Aiken! 🐾⛓️

Come out and meet some of our inmates who will be temporarily released into the community under VERY strict supervision. 😂

INMATE #45 — STERLING — HAS BEEN PAROLED! 🐾🎉

After serving his time at Last Chance Ranch of South Carolina, Sterling went before the Parole Board and somehow managed to convince everyone that he is a rehabilitated member of society.

We remain suspicious. 😂

This former inmate came into the Ranch needing a second chance, and today he leaves with something even better:

🏡 A HOME.
❤️ A FAMILY.
🐾 A FOREVER.

Sterling, your bunk has officially been reassigned, your commissary privileges have been revoked, and your record has been stamped:

Last night, my friend’s beloved dog Pickles was hit by a car, and she is now facing a frightening and unexpected medical emergency. 💔🐶

Pickles was already treated at BluePearl Emergency Vet, but she now has a $1,700 veterinary bill from the care she urgently needed to stabilize her after the accident. As you can imagine, unexpected emergency costs like this can be overwhelming, and her family could really use some help during this difficult time.
