Fostering UNITY will be closed tomorrow, Friday, June 19, 2026, in honor of Juneteenth.
Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, were finally informed that they were free — more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation had been signed. It is a day that reminds us of freedom delayed, resilience carried through generations, and the ongoing work of justice, healing, and unity.
At Fostering UNITY, we honor this day by reflecting on the strength of the Black community, the importance of family, and the responsibility we all share to build a more compassionate and equitable future.
We will resume work on Monday, June 22, 2026.
Thank you for your understanding, and we wish everyone a meaningful Juneteenth.
