Scripture:
“Yet who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” — Esther 4:14 (NKJV)
Reflection:
Esther’s story has been on my heart lately. She was an orphan in a foreign land who became queen, yet even in that position, she initially saw it as a place of safety, a place to blend in and remain hidden. When the moment came that truly mattered, she was afraid.
Mordecai’s words shifted her perspective. He reminded her that her position was not random—it was intentional. God was at work behind the scenes, placing her exactly where she needed to be for a purpose far greater than herself.
I’ve been reflecting on how often we feel unprepared or uncertain, even like the underdog. Whether facing challenges, navigating relationships, or stepping into something new, it’s easy to question whether we are the right person for the moment. Yet Esther’s story reminds us that God does not place us accidentally—He equips us along the way.
Over the past few months, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside others in some very difficult moments, including traveling to Maine to support a family after the loss of their son to su***de. I’ve also had opportunities to speak at veteran events and community forums; each one met with an outpouring of support. These moments have been humbling reminders that even when we feel inadequate, God uses our willingness to step forward.
What This Means for Us:
With Warrior 180 Foundation, we are choosing to move forward—not because everything feels certain or easy, but because we believe God is calling us to take steps of faith. It’s not about having all the answers; it’s about trusting that He has already gone before us. Like Esther, we may not have chosen every challenge before us, but we have been given a place, a voice, and an opportunity to make a difference—and we do not want to remain silent.
We have now entered our 11th year of ministry with Warrior 180 Foundation, and the Lord continues to open doors and lead us in unexpected ways. This past week, we closed on the sale of our home in Aberdeen, NC, and have transitioned back into the RV where this ministry first began. “Lydia,” as we affectionately call her, was 13 years old when we purchased her and is now nearly 24. Over the past week, we have been making repairs, completing maintenance, packing, and preparing for the road ahead. While she shows her age, she continues to carry us forward—by God’s grace.
As of today, we remain in Moore County, NC, but after church tomorrow, we will relocate to an RV park on the east side of Charlotte for an undetermined period.
Our upcoming schedule includes ministry opportunities in:
*North Carolina (ongoing)
*New Hampshire in May
*Upstate New York in June
As always, we remain open to go wherever the Lord leads—to teach, preach, and serve. Our prayer is that we would respond faithfully and without hesitation to His direction. We are deeply grateful for your continued prayers and support as we take this next step of faith, trusting that we are not walking this journey alone.
Applying Mordecai’s Words:
Stop Hiding: Consider where fear may be holding you back from stepping forward. Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, “Fear not, for I am with you… I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” This is not simply encouragement—it is God’s promise.
Recognize Your Surroundings: Your “kingdom” may be your home, workplace, or community—wherever God has placed you. Shift your mindset to see that every step outside your door is a mission field, serve the Lord well.
Take a Step of Faith: Even the smallest step matters. Joshua 1:9 “do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord you God will be with you wherever you go”. This promise clearly indicates that God’s presence is with you regardless of the challenges you face.
Final Thought:
We are reminded today that we are not here by accident—and neither are you. For such a time as this, God is calling us to step forward in faith. May we each choose to be a light in the world around us.
