On September 11, 2001, our nation experienced a tragic event that resulted in the deaths of 2,977 innocent people. This devastating attack on American soil deeply impacted individuals, families, and communities across the country. It's important to remember and honor the lives that were lost and to reflect on the resilience and unity that emerged in the face of such profound loss.

For Saturday Only, we're having a fantastic bag sale. For only $8.00, you can buy as many clothes as you can squeeze into a grocery bag.
There are a few exceptions, but it is a great way to expand your wardrobe at a bargain price.
And it enables us to meet the needs of Kenyan children. Providing for their physical, educational, and spiritual needs. And of course clothes for them as well.

Thrift store chic refers to a style of dressing in which clothes are inexpensive and/or used. It became popular among hippies in the 1960s and resurfaced among teenagers during the mid-1980s. The trend continued to expand into the 1990s with the growing popularity of music and style influences, including the grunge band Nirvana. Thrift store chic can be considered an anti-fashion statement because it does not follow fashion trends and does not attempt to look expensive or new.

Thrift store chic often involves vintage T-shirts (especially striped tees and those with vintage graphics), sweaters, flannel "lumberjack" shirts, and worn and torn jeans. This laid-back, nonchalant, and aloof look became fashionable and trendy without attempting to.

Our thrift stores have a fantastic selection of clothes for all styles and sizes. Most of our merchandise is gently used and available for up to 90% off retail prices. In addition to providing affordable clothing, our stores support our mission in Kenya to help some of the neediest children in the world. We are committed to meeting the spiritual, physical, and educational needs of the needy children of Kenya, and we aim to educate and raise these children to be good Kenyan citizens with the hope that the next generation of Kenyans can break the crushing cultural and economic burdens they live under. You help them and can dress very chic while saving significant money. It's a win-win.

Our stores are located in Aberdeen, Fayetteville (on Bragg Blvd, Hope Mills Road, and Pamalee Drive), Pembroke, Red Springs, and Spring Lake. Here are a couple more reasons why our Thrift Stores are fantastic. Thrift store items are so affordable, allowing you to experiment with styles and colors that you might not usually buy. If you only wear that hot pink shirt or embroidered pants a few times, it was only $3 instead of $30 or, heaven forbid, $300. You can bring out your wild side without breaking the bank. Additionally, clothes from a thrift store won't shrink after being washed.

Thrift store items are also typically higher quality as they have already withstood one person's use and still have resale value, unlike typical "fast fashion" shirts from stores like H&M, Zara, or Forever21 that lose shape after a few washes.

Moreover, when you shop at our stores and save money, you are helping some of the neediest children in the world, as our stores support our mission in Kenya.

Our stores are located in Aberdeen, Fayetteville (on Bragg Blvd, Hope Mills Road, and Pamalee Drive), Pembroke, Red Springs, and Spring Lake. Our doors are open from 10 am to 6 pm, Monday through Saturday, and our Lumberton location is open from 9 am to 6 pm, Monday through Friday. For more information, visit ookp.org.
