After successfully completing a short course in modern beekeeping at Northern Tanzania Beekeeping Company (NTBC), these enthusiastic graduates returned to their village ready to put their new knowledge into practice.

Guided by the skills and techniques they learned from our experienced beekeeping experts, they have already begun installing beehives high in tree branches to attract and capture swarms of wild bees looking for a new home. This is an exciting first step toward establishing sustainable apiaries and improving local livelihoods through modern beekeeping.

We are incredibly proud of their commitment, dedication, and passion to apply what they have learned.

What an amazing experience at Beetopia's honey sensory analysis workshop! 🍯 We had the opportunity to learn Natasha Lyon as she walked us through the art of tasting honey- from appearance and texture to aroma and flavor. Every honey tells a different story, and it was incredible to experience the diversity of honeys from all over Africa! 🌍

Over the next two weeks we will be providing beekeeping training to these 10 Maasai women from Olchani Omelok Village in Ngorongoro.

Next week begins another beekeeping training course where these 10 Maasai women will gain hands-on training in sustainable beekeeping! Beyond education, each trainee will receive all of the tools needed to embark on their beekeeping journey, plus the continued support of Maasai Honey beekeeping experts!
