We welcome today’s public consultation and the opportunity to hear about the latest sports announcement and developments in the Kingdom. We appreciate the efforts to engage stakeholders and provide a space for discussion.

As stakeholders who care deeply about the future of sports in Tonga, we would also welcome more advance notice of these important consultations and discussions. While we were grateful for the opportunity to view the consultation online today, earlier notice would allow more stakeholders to attend in person, prepare, contribute meaningfully, and ensure a broader range of voices are represented.

We look forward to more opportunities to talatalanoa openly and constructively about the future of sports and/or sports events in the Kingdom, and to working together to strengthen opportunities for our athletes, coaches, administrators, and communities.

Mālō ‘aupito for the opportunity to be part of the conversation. 🇹🇴🏉🏃🏽‍♀️🏆
