Congratulations Hon. Federica Fatafehi Lapaha Tuita ❤️❤️❤️

"Ahead of International Literacy Day, we are proud to shine a spotlight on one of Tonga's own, Hon. Frederica Tuita, a celebrated author, cultural advocate, and passionate champion of youth literacy.

Hon. Frederica is the author of beloved works including Dancing Shadows (2022), Rise to Power (2023), and the My Tongan Tapa Colouring Book (2025). Her writing beautifully bridges Tonga's rich oral traditions with modern storytelling, inspiring readers of all ages to connect with their heritage.

As a passionate advocate for youth literacy, she supports reading initiatives such as This Little Child of Mine, which began with reading to children from their hospital beds at Vaiola Hospital in Tonga, and continues to use her platform to encourage young Tongans to embrace the joy of reading.

In an exciting new milestone, Twinnies Publishing has announced Hon. Frederica as the first Pacific author to read for the National Library of Australia's Digital Learning program for Australian schools. In February 2027, she will read Dancing Shadows live to children in classrooms across Australia, bringing Pacific stories to a global audience and extending the reach of the This Little Child of Mine Reading Project."

We will be highlight International Literacy Day using one of Hon. Frederica Tuita very own creative title. - Sep 8th
