𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗴𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗗𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘂𝗲.

Last week, ActionAid Sierra Leone, through its implementing partner Women's Action for Human Dignity Sierra Leone - WAHD SL , convened a Chiefdom dialogue session in Manonkoh community, Bombali Sheray, with Sierra Leone Teaching Service Commission, Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education MBSSE, Bombali District Council, other line ministries, and community-led structures.

The session focused on quality resource management, a critical step in ensuring that education systems are transparent, accountable, and responsive to community needs.

At ActionAid Sierra Leone, we remain deeply committed to advancing education by:
- Promoting inclusive and participatory governance in schools.
- Supporting communities to demand accountability in resource use.
- Partnering with stakeholders to strengthen structures that safeguard quality learning.

Together, we believe that education is the foundation for dignity, justice, and sustainable development.

Protecting our environment is no longer optional it is urgent. Climate change continues to threaten lives, livelihoods, land, and natural resources, making it critical that we act boldly and collectively.

This year’s theme, “𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒑𝒊𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆. 𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝑪𝒍𝒊𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒆. 𝑭𝒐𝒓 𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆,”reminds us that the time to act is now.

At ActionAid Sierra Leone , together with our partners, we remain committed to:
- Building resilience among various groups, especially women and young people.
- Strengthening climate governance and promoting sustainable land use.
- Amplifying community voices in climate action and decision-making.

We call on Government of Sierra Leone , policymakers, and all stakeholders to:
- Strengthen climate policies and invest in locally led solutions.
- Support communities to reclaim and restore lands.
- Ensure inclusive participation in climate decision-making.
- Advance a just transition that places communities at the center of climate investments and green opportunities.
