On the 13th February 2026, thirteen (13) visitors, including a Dreamtown representative, teachers, and students from Mercantec University in Denmark, visited Youth Dream Centre Sierra Leone in Freetown.
The purpose was to gather first-hand information about YDC’s work, participate in practical sessions, photograph and record videos for fundraising purposes, and engage with the staff and students of YDC.
The Danish team also shared their cultural tradition of Fastelavn. A tradition in Denmark to drive evil spirits (Black Cat) away. A barrel full of assorted candies was hanging and was stricken until it broke, bringing joy and cultural exchange with YDC students and staff.
Also, the team visited Bounce Island, adding an entertaining element to their trip.
Finally, a Reflection meeting was held at Innovation Sierra Leone, where the Programmatic aspects of YDC- SL were discussed in detail.
