Introducing the Newly Elected President of URPAO / RUPWA

With great joy and gratitude to God, we take this opportunity to introduce the newly elected President of the Regional Union of Priests of West Africa (RUPWA / URPAO):

Rev. Fr. Peter Alpha Leo Konteh
Sierra Leone

Fr. Peter Alpha Leo Konteh brings to this office a wealth of pastoral experience, visionary leadership, and a deep commitment to the mission of the Church in West Africa. His election reflects the confidence and trust of the priests of the region in his ability to promote unity, fraternity, synodality, and missionary collaboration among priests across English, French, and Portuguese-speaking countries.

As he begins this new chapter of service, we pray that the Holy Spirit will guide and strengthen him with wisdom, courage, humility, and grace to lead URPAO/RUPWA in responding to the challenges and opportunities facing the Church in West Africa today.

Congratulations, Rev. Fr. Peter Alpha Leo Konteh!

“May the Lord bless your ministry and make you an instrument of unity, hope, and renewal for the priests and people of West Africa.” 🙏🏾✝️

Ad Multos Annos!
Congratulations and God’s abundant blessings on your new mission of service.
