Time to grow the placemaking movement through more systemic, regenerative approaches.

Our Ethan Kent will have a dynamic discussion on these topics, and more, with Tony Cho of Future of Cities at the upcoming Generation Regeneration Online Global Summit this July 11th — as part of a free, 3-day virtual gathering bringing together some of the most important voices working at the intersection of community, nature, and culture.

We’re thrilled to be participating in this Summit with Tony Cho and so many luminaries like Carlos Moreno, Majora Carter, Dr Dominique Hes, Bill Reed, Dan Buettner and many more. This conversation and community has the potential to launch us into a new era of regeneration and abundance through RegenerativePlacemaking.

The Summit is hosted by urbanist and regenerative developer Tony Cho, whose new book Generation Regeneration (out August 11) maps a path toward cities and communities that restore — not deplete — the people living in them.
The shift from extractive to regenerative starts with how we see the world. This summit is where that conversation lives. 🌱

Time to start building towards a global Movement! The foundations of the global Movement are strong, and ready to grow a broader, and more mainstream, conversation and community.

We could not be more thrilled with how the placemaking movement has been evolving since we started working on place and placemaking in the mid 90s.

This open access article just published yesterday(with image of some excerpts), by our Ethan Kent written with Conrad Kickert, from a new book edited by Conrad called Place and Placemaking, describes where we came from, and where we can go next. Through the first phase of PlacemakingX we’ve ventured to network, support, and decentralize the placemaking movement. As a next step to a Place Movement, we’re embarking on a focus on . Help us define, shape and grow, how a focus on place can bring us all together to more systemically address our challenges and realize our collective human potential!
