It was a true honor to witness the visit of HRH Prince William, The Prince of Wales, to the at , accompanied by HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sport, and HE Engineer Ibrahim Al-Sultan, Board Member and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Sports Boulevard Foundation. As the artist behind the Arts Tower, I am incredibly proud to see this landmark receive such distinguished guests, reflecting its growing cultural and architectural significance as one of Riyadh’s emerging icons and reinforcing the city’s rising global presence. My sincere thanks and appreciation to Sports Boulevard for the opportunity and trust in positioning the Arts Tower as a key destination for prominent international figures visiting the capital.

The Healthy Sin (Aniconism) reflects on Gharem’s upbringing in Saudi Arabia, where as a child he was told to cross out drawings of living beings in his schoolbooks. The idea that drawing was sinful left a lasting mark—yet an Egyptian art teacher encouraged him to see art as freedom, even when practiced in secret. Years later, when Gharem organized life-drawing classes in Riyadh, he smuggled a mannequin from the UAE to use as a model. The act of drawing the human form became both forbidden and liberating. The work traces this tension between faith and expression, turning shame into a quiet form of resistance.

Meet (Suhailah Benadim our new intern at Gharem Studio.✨

Suhailah Abdelaziz (b. 2000) is an American-Moroccan multidisciplinary artist and designer whose work explores identity, memory, and cultural hybridity. Raised in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, her practice is rooted in textile processes blending traditional dyeing, found materials, and language to construct symbolic spaces that reflect belonging, nostalgia, and transformation.

She is the founder of (Third Culture Child) a textile studio
known for its one-of-one textile pieces and fabric installations. Suhailah recently graduated from (Prince Sultan University)with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Linguistics.

At Gharem Studio, she is applying her background across research, creative writing, PR communications, and cross-disciplinary collaboration supporting artistic direction, editing, and project development.
