Tanza Chapter No. 108 is sponsored by Saint Augustine Masonic Lodge No. 300 F.&A.M.

The Order of DeMolay is a character-building and leadership development organization for young men between the ages of 13 and 21. The ultimate aim of the organization is to build better sons which will, in turn, mean better men to be better citizens, husbands, fathers, friends and leaders in the future.

On September 27, 2026, two of the Lights of Tanza Chapter No. 108, Order of DeMolay, had the opportunity to have a meaningful conversation with Mayor Dad Dennis Mojica Glean of General Emilio Aguinaldo, Cavite.

It was a great opportunity for us to meet with the Mayor, share ideas, and discuss some of our plans and possible activities for the future.

This courtesy call also opened opportunities for possible collaboration in outreach programs, retreats, and nature and environmental projects that can benefit both our members and the community.

We would like to respectfully express our most sincere appreciation to Mayor Dad Dennis Mojica Glean for taking the time to meet and speak with our Lights.

We look forward to build a meaningful relationships and turning these ideas into projects that promote service, brotherhood, and community involvement.

BROTHERHOOD BEYOND THE CHAPTER ROOM

After our 3rd Stated Meeting, the DeMolays of Tanza Chapter No. 108 continued the day by stepping outside the Chapter Room and onto the badminton court! This project gave us a chance to take a break, stay physically active, and most importantly, strengthen the bond we share as brothers.

Through sports, we learn the importance of teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and camaraderie while creating memories together. It reminds us that brotherhood is not only built during meetings and ceremonies, but also through the moments we share outside the Chapter Room.

As we continue our term, we hope to expand this project into different sports and activities where every brother can participate, learn something new, stay active, and enjoy together.

Because true brotherhood goes beyond the Chapter Room

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives and dedicated themselves to shaping the Philippines we know today. As DeMolays, we had the privilege of taking part in a wreath laying ceremony at the monuments of some of our national heroes, paying our respects to their courage, sacrifices, and love for our country.

National Heroes Day reminds us that being a hero isn’t only about being remembered in history. It’s also about serving others, standing for what is right, and doing our part for the community.

Fun Fact did you know that National Heroes Day is celebrated every last Monday of August in the Philippines. It remains a holiday because it gives Filipinos a special day to remember not only our officially recognized heroes, but also the countless ordinary Filipinos who showed courage and helped our nation in their own ways.
