‎On September 3, 2026, the Environmental Science Student Association (ESSA) joined the engagement forum “𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚: 𝙍𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙒𝙖𝙨𝙩𝙚 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝘽𝙖𝙨𝙞𝙘𝙨” at the Performing Arts Center (PAC), Palawan State University. The activity was organized by the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 – 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗡𝘂𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝘁𝗲 (𝗗𝗢𝗦𝗧-𝗣𝗡𝗥𝗜) through Project StRAW (Strategies for Radioactive Waste Management).
‎
‎The forum gave students and faculty the opportunity to learn more about nuclear science, radioactive materials, proper waste management, Philippine regulations, and their possible effects on people and the environment.
‎
‎Through this activity, students gained new knowledge about safe and responsible science practices. It also
helped students become more aware of environmental issues and the proper use of science and technology for a safer and more sustainable future.
