This morning, the Philippine Red Cross Zamboanga del Sur–Pagadian City Chapter conducted an Information Drive on Membership with Health Benefits and distributed IEC materials on Dengue and Leptospirosis to parents and students during the PTA Assembly at Pagadian City National Comprehensive High School.We extend our heartfelt thanks to Principal Ma’am Alna Lasala, P IV, for giving us the opportunity to share, and to RCY Adviser Sir Rene Guerra for the strong support.Together, we continue to spread knowledge, strengthen preparedness, and promote healthier communities.

Dengue, Leptospirosis & Ubo/Sipon Awareness Drive
Philippine Red Cross Zamboanga del Sur–Pagadian City Chapter joined the SPTA Assembly at Dinas National High School this afternoon.
With the warm support of Principal Sir Bayani S. Tabayag, P III, Faculty, and Teachers, we reached more than 800 students sharing vital health information on Dengue prevention, Leptospirosis awareness, and Respiratory illness care (ubo ug sipon).
Daghang salamat sa inyong maabi-abihon nga pagdawat. Together, we spread knowledge, protect communities, and save lives.

Brigada Eskwela 2026 – ZSNHS
With the theme “Brigada Eskwela: Sama-sama Para sa Bayang Bumabasa”, the Philippine Red Cross Zamboanga del Sur–Pagadian City Chapter joined the Brigada Eskwela at Zamboanga del Sur National High School.We provided Health Promotion, Disease Prevention Dissemination, and BP Taking with our staff Rica Villena, Health Focal Person Filart Imatong, RCY Adviser Ma’am Michelle F. Baguio, the Senior RCY Council, and RCY members. IEC materials and posters were shared to raise awareness against Dengue, Leptospirosis, and Measles. The activity was strengthened by partners and stakeholders including City Health Office, BFP, Coast Guard, RMN-DXPR, Philippine Army, Emcor, Virginia Food Inc., DTI, DICT, PSA, BDO Network, BJMP-Province, and more.👏 Special thanks to Dr. Fe Bibanco, Principal of ZSNHS, for the warm welcome and support.❤️ Together, we build healthier schools and stronger communities!

Day 2 – Red Cross Training in Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur

The second day of our First Aid and CPR training brought together barangay functionaries who continued to practice and strengthen their skills in emergency response. With guidance from our Red Cross instructors, participants learned practical techniques and showed teamwork and dedication throughout the sessions.

This activity reflects our shared commitment to preparedness and compassion, ensuring that our communities are safer and more resilient in times of need.

📢 On-going Outreach in Barangay Picanan!

Today, Barangay Picanan, headed by Hon. Albert B. Tesoro, together with the Philippine Red Cross and the RHU Kumalarang, is conducting a tuli (circumcision) service, bloodletting activity, and awareness campaign on dengue and leptospirosis. 💉✂️🦟💧

This joint effort shows the strong spirit of community service and care for life, with the leadership of Barangay Picanan, the support of RHU Kumalarang, and the dedication of the Philippine Red Cross volunteers.

Today marks the second day and the last batch of our Standard First Aid and BLS/CPR Training with the 4th Year Nursing Students of JHCSC Pagadian Campus, a total of 41 participants who are now completing their journey of learning essential lifesaving skills. Their dedication and teamwork reflect the readiness of our future nurses to serve the community with compassion and competence.
