As part of the PPhA National Activity, our chapter participated in ๐๐ก๐š๐ซ๐ฆ๐š๐œ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐“๐จ ๐“๐ก๐ž ๐๐š๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐š๐ฒ๐ฌ (๐๐“๐“๐)โ€”a nationwide simultaneous community extension activity with the theme:

โ€œ๐‘ฉ๐’“๐’Š๐’…๐’ˆ๐’Š๐’๐’ˆ ๐‘ด๐’๐’…๐’†๐’“๐’ ๐’‚๐’๐’… ๐‘ป๐’“๐’‚๐’…๐’Š๐’•๐’Š๐’๐’๐’‚๐’ ๐‘ด๐’†๐’…๐’Š๐’„๐’Š๐’๐’† ๐’‡๐’๐’“ ๐‘ฏ๐’†๐’‚๐’๐’•๐’‰๐’Š๐’†๐’“ ๐‘ญ๐’Š๐’๐’Š๐’‘๐’Š๐’๐’๐’”.โ€

The activity brought pharmacists closer to the community through health education and meaningful interaction with barangay residents, Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), and pharmacy students from Universidad de Zamboangaโ€“Pagadian Campus.

Our discussion focused on the proper and responsible use of medicines, including the appropriate use of ๐ƒ๐จ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐œ๐ฒ๐œ๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ž for flood-prone areas, as well as the ๐’๐š๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ง๐  ๐‡๐š๐ฅ๐š๐ฆ๐š๐ง๐  ๐†๐š๐ฆ๐จ๐ญ (๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ ๐Œ๐ž๐๐ข๐œ๐ข๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ญ๐ฌ) and their proper use in the community.

More than sharing information, PTTB reminded us that pharmacists have an important role in making reliable health information accessibleโ€”from the pharmacy to the barangay, and from modern medicine to our traditional health practices.

The Peopleโ€™s Caravan aimed to bring essential government programs and services closer to NHA project beneficiaries and nearby communities, providing them with accessible assistance and support in various areas.

PPhA-ZDSPC was among the 35 invited government agencies, non-government organizations, and private companies that participated in the activity and contributed to the successful delivery of services to the community. Through its participation and donation of medicines, the Chapter reaffirmed its commitment to supporting community health initiatives and making essential healthcare services more accessible to those in need.

Selected pharmacy establishments were invited to participate in the orientation, particularly in the encoding and uploading of drug prices through the eDPMS Version 4.0. The activity included a simulation and hands-on exercises to familiarize participants with the system and ensure proper encoding and submission of required drug price information.

Pajares Avenue, Pagadian City.

With the theme, โ€œHeritage and Horizons: Sustaining Legacies, Forging the Future of Pharmacy,โ€ the ceremony celebrated the commitment, dedication, and promising future of our aspiring pharmacists.

It was a privilege for our Chapter to be part of this meaningful milestone by leading the Oathtaking Ceremony, delivering a message from the Philippine Pharmacists Association, Inc., and serving as Guests of Honor.

To the future pharmacists, may you carry the values of integrity, compassion, excellence, and service as you continue your journey toward the noble profession of pharmacy.
