Have you ever found yourself falling asleep during a long sermon at church, a lesson at school, or a meeting at work?
In Acts 20, a young man named Eutychus fell asleep while Paul was preaching. But this was more than just an embarrassing moment—he fell from a third-story window and appeared to be dead.
Paul went down, embraced him, and said, “Don’t be alarmed. He’s alive!”
What looked like the end became a testimony of God’s power.
Eutychus was carried home alive, and the believers were greatly comforted.
But this story is not only about Eutychus. It is also a question for us: ARE WE SPIRITUALLY AWAKE?
We can be physically present in church but spiritually asleep. We can hear God’s Word every week without allowing it to change our hearts. We can sit near God’s presence while our hearts are far from Him.
So today, wake up. Pay attention. Listen to God’s Word. Respond to His voice.
If you have fallen, get back up.
If you have grown distant, come back to God.
If your faith has become weak, ask Him to renew you.
If you have been spiritually asleep, wake up and live for Christ.
Don’t wait for a crisis to bring you back to God.
“Don’t just come to church—wake up to God.
Don’t just hear His Word—respond to it.
Don’t just fall—get back up.
And don’t just survive—live fully for Jesus.”
Wake up. Stand up. Live up—for Jesus.
