​From the national stage to the heart of Ilocos Norte, the Philippine Red Cross is marking nearly eight decades of being "Always First, Always Ready, Always There."

​As the Philippine Red Cross celebrates its 79th Anniversary, we also take immense pride in the Ilocos Norte Chapter’s own 79-year journey of unwavering dedication to the Ilocano community. Whether it’s disaster response, blood services, or health initiatives, our commitment to saving lives remains as strong as the day we started.

​A huge part of this legacy is our Red Cross Youth (RCY). To our young volunteers: you are the lifeblood of this organization. Your energy, compassion, and leadership ensure that the spirit of volunteerism will thrive for another 79 years and beyond.

The Red Cross Youth (RCY) Volunteers of Ilocos Norte Chapter recently joined the SDO Laoag Stories, Practices, Opportunities, Triumphs Program to promote Philippine Red Cross and Disaster Preparedness in Schools.

Red Cross Youth Instructors Kyth P. Martin, Adrian Jed Cacao, Rvee Anne Cid, and Sophia Quitoras participated in the DWAT event held today, March 23, 2026, empowering students and promoting community resilience.

The event underscores the RCY's commitment to fostering a culture of safety and preparedness in the community. ⛑️

📌The 𝐌𝐌𝐒𝐔 𝐋𝐇𝐒 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥-𝐋𝐚𝐨𝐚𝐠 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 have successfully took action in making humanitarian actions during the 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭’𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 at 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟐𝟐, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, held at the 𝐌𝐌𝐒𝐔 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐜 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬.

🔻With great honor, the volunteers of the council took action and culminate the essence of leadership and teamwork. ⛑️Volunteers was deployed in different activities, being an evident look-watcher for immediate medical assistance to students, not only to make fun, but also to create an aspect of area wherein safety is still the main criteria.

👥The Council is truly holding the name with great ambition and the idea of carrying the name of Red Cross with ambiguity and dignity, an honor to truly inspire the youth to be great example of the society.

On 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, the 𝐌𝐌𝐒𝐔 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐇𝐒 - 𝐋𝐚𝐨𝐚𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥 proudly and successfully carried out its 𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐓𝐲𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡, giving students the opportunity to know their blood type and promoting awareness on the importance of preparedness and health.

At the same time, the council was present throughout the 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐆𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬, providing 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐢𝐝 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 to ensure the safety, well-being, and immediate care of participants.

To culminate the celebration of 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, 𝐌𝐌𝐒𝐔 𝐋𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥–𝐋𝐚𝐨𝐚𝐠 students proudly joined the Red Cross Youth Walk held on October 31, 2025 at Robinsons Place Ilocos. With this year’s theme, “Empowered Youth: Today’s Life Savers,” the event highlighted the commitment of young volunteers to service, preparedness, and humanitarian leadership.

A special recognition was also awarded to the 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 – 𝐋𝐇𝐒 𝐋𝐚𝐨𝐚𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥, which has officially achieved Level 1 Accreditation, marking another milestone in strengthening youth-driven initiatives within the Philippine Red Cross.

As the month of October comes to an end, the 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐝 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 - 𝐈𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 holds its very long awaited Red Cross Youth Walk, a walk that recognizes the hardwork and dedication of different councils.

🚶𝐑𝐄𝐃-𝐝𝐲 𝐭𝐨 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲?
