Preparedness saves lives. 🚨

Today, the Philippine Red Cross Ilocos Norte Chapter proudly facilitated the 2nd Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill, reinforcing the importance of readiness and resilience in the face of disasters.

In light of the recent 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck General Santos City, this activity serves as a timely reminder that disasters can happen anytime. Through continuous training and drills, we equip communities with the knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively and stay safe.

The activity was actively participated in by our Volunteers, Staff, and Occupational First Aid Training (OFAT) participants, together with the Safety Services Instructors present, demonstrating a shared commitment to promoting disaster preparedness and fostering a culture of safety within our communities.

🩸 ONE DROP OF HUMANITY 🩸

Yesterday, June 14, 2026, the Philippine Red Cross Ilocos Norte Chapter celebrated World Blood Donor Day in a major way at SM City Laoag! Every year, communities across the globe come together to raise awareness about the critical need for safe blood and to honor the selfless, voluntary donors who save lives every single day.

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that our concurrent blood donation drive successfully accumulated 70 packs of life-saving blood!

Yesterday also marked the meaningful 2nd Blood Galloners Club Assembly, featuring a full day of inspiration, education, and community building.

The afternoon kicked off with a solemn opening program featuring a prayer led by Mr. Jimuel Oris, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and the Red Cross Hymn. Ms. Charmaine I. Villanueva led the recital of our Fundamental Principles, and Chapter Director Dir. Nellie Edu warmly welcomed all the delegates and guests.

To empower our members, our dedicated facilitators led crucial educational sessions:
• PRC & RC 143 Orientation: Guided by Mr. Josel Lorenzo and Ms. Dwayne Domingo
• Blood Service Orientation & Updates: Delivered by Mr. Ian Turingan and Ms. Aubrey Pascua

Following an open forum and the presentation of the past officers, a President's Report and Inspirational Message were delivered by Dr. Marierose L. Tolentino, leading straight into the afternoon election. The program successfully concluded with final remarks from Dir. Joegie Jimenez.

This successful celebration wouldn't have been possible without the incredible support and generosity of our official sponsors. As seen in 1000018873.jpg, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to:

SM City Laoag
Nephrology Center of Ilocos Norte
Duquez Childrens Hospital
Ranada General Hospital

Ilocandia Healthlink Laboratory Clinic
Xians Choice
Leigh's Cake and Pastries

Please join us in welcoming our newly elected leadership team who will guide our mission forward:
