Congratulations, Licensed Professional Teachers!

The glow of this achievement is unlike any other— you are no longer just aspiring teachers. After taking the BLEPT, you are now ready to dive into the world as LPTs, equipped with knowledge, courage, and resilience.

Every sacrifice has found its meaning. Every prayer has been answered. What once felt heavy has now become purpose, and what once required courage now becomes calling. The biggest gift you've received is not just the license itself, but the trust and responsibility to shape minds, guide futures, and make a real difference in the lives of learners.

As this milestone settles in, may it be a moment to reflect— one filled with pride, gratitude, and the excitement of stepping into a profession that will challenge, inspire, and transform both you and the lives you touch.

Congratulations, LPTs!
This is the beginning of a life devoted to teaching with heart, purpose, and meaning. ✨

Your kindness as an educator reaches far beyond the classroom— every smile in the hallway, every gentle reminder, every moment spent guiding those who need it most. In your presence, learning feels lighter, clearer, and grounded in genuine care. You notice when students struggle, you listen when they speak, and you lead them toward understanding with patience.

Each day, you show that teaching is not simply delivering lessons, but shaping learners with compassion and quiet strength. Your dedication shines in the way you check on your students, in the way you explain once more without hesitation, in the way you make anyone feel capable of growing. Your smile alone tells us that we are welcome, seen, and supported.

Today, we honor your heartfelt commitment, your guidance, and the joy you bring wherever you go. Thank you for reminding us that true teaching begins with kindness, and that a great teacher touches minds, but an extraordinary one touches lives.

Belated Happy Birthday to our warm, dedicated, and ever-inspiring professor, Prof. Roselia Borromeo! ✨

About the Book

The Gear Up Model: An Instructional Model embodies the idea of preparation—equipping learners with the knowledge, skills, and values they need to navigate the challenges of modern life and the evolving workforce. Designed as an instructional design process for developing teaching materials, the GEAR UP Model serves as a powerful framework for educators committed to constructivist learning.

The model encourages students to build upon prior knowledge, ask meaningful questions, engage in critical discussions, and conduct analytical investigations. Through these dynamic learning experiences, students strengthen both critical and creative thinking skills essential for lifelong success. Rooted in constructivist principles, the GEAR UP Model views learning as an active, social process where teachers guide and facilitate rather than simply deliver information.

Moreover, the model promotes collaborative inquiry, teamwork, and shared responsibility among students—helping them develop the interpersonal and leadership skills required for academic and professional growth. As Gates (2018) notes, collaborative learning not only enhances higher-order thinking but also increases confidence and self-efficacy. By integrating diverse teaching strategies and varied assessment tools, the GEAR UP Model ensures inclusivity and responsiveness to students’ unique learning needs, supporting their holistic development in both oral and written competencies.

Ultimately, the Gear Up Model stands as a practical and visionary guide for educators who seek to transform classrooms into spaces of exploration, cooperation, and purposeful learning—preparing every learner to gear up for life.

Your eyes as an educator see beyond what's written— every lesson plan, every demo teaching, every attempt to improve. In your gaze lies both precision and purpose, a reminder that true learning is built on care, not convenience. You look closely not to find faults, but to find growth waiting to be nurtured.

You're continuously teaching us that excellence is not about perfection, but about persistence, the quiet act of reviewing, refining, and rising after every attempt. Every comment you make, every observation you share, carries the weight of wisdom and the warmth of someone who truly wants everyone to learn.

Today, we celebrate your dedication, your keen guidance, and your heart that never stops teaching. Thank you for reminding us that in education, greatness begins in the details, and in the sincerity of one who never stops believing in her people.

Happiest Birthday to our ever-committed and inspiring Elementary Education Department Chair, Dr. Gina Sylvia S. Gaoat! ✨

Your voice as an educator does more than instruct— it shapes, refines, and awakens. Every word you speak leaves an imprint, one that lingers long after the lesson ends. Through your guidance, we learn that teaching is not merely about knowing, but about understanding deeply, genuinely, and with purpose.

In your firmness lies care. In your discipline, a deep desire to see us become better. You remind us that the path to becoming great teachers is not always easy, but always worth it. Behind every strict tone is a mentor who believes in the promise of our future, who ensures that learning is never shallow, and that growth is always real.

Today, we honor your wisdom, your passion, and the heart that never tires of teaching. Thank you for making learning not just a process, but a lifelong imprint.

Happy Birthday to one of the pillars of the Elementary Education Department and our very own College Secretary, Dr. Gerry Abad! ✨
