Following the successful Annual Week Celebration, the Board gathered for its 2nd Monthly Meeting to review accomplishments, discuss ongoing initiatives, and plan the next steps in serving our members and the accountancy profession.

We also took time to celebrate our 𝑨𝒖𝒈𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒃𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒔, making the meeting even more meaningful as we strengthened both our commitment and camaraderie.

Guided by this year's theme, "𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑: 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐨 𝐂𝐏𝐀 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐄𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞," we continue moving forward with purpose, collaboration, and excellence.

The 𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐏𝐀 𝐈𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞–𝐋𝐚𝐨𝐚𝐠 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐈𝐍-𝐋𝐂) 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 successfully conducted its Accounting Students’ Day, bringing together Accounting students from 𝑫𝒊𝒗𝒊𝒏𝒆 𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒈𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝑳𝒂𝒐𝒂𝒈 (𝑫𝑾𝑪𝑳), 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒏𝒐 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒐𝒔 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚 (𝑴𝑴𝑺𝑼), 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑵𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒘𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚 (𝑵𝑾𝑼).

Held on July 16, 2026, at SM City Laoag, the event formed part of the 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐲 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐀𝐖𝐂) and provided a meaningful venue for learning, competition, career inspiration, and camaraderie among future accounting professionals.

The day featured academic competitions, including Accounting Masters: Quiz Bee Level I, Accounting Grandmasters: Quiz Bee Level II, and the Essay Writing Contest. Non-academic activities included the TikTok Competition and Pickleball Competition.

Students also gained valuable insights through 𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝑭𝒐𝒓𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒅: 𝑪𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒓 𝑷𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒘𝒂𝒚𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆 𝑪𝑷𝑨𝒔, 𝒂 𝒕𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒉𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒇𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝑷𝑨𝒔 , a town hall featuring CPAs from the government, public practice, commerce and industry, and academe sectors, as well as Empower Talks: The Journey to the License, a roundtable discussion with newly licensed CPAs.

Through initiatives like Accounting Students’ Day, PICPA IN-LC continues to inspire, connect, and empower the next generation of accounting professionals. 💙💚

On July 16, 2026, the 𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐏𝐀 𝐈𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞–𝐋𝐚𝐨𝐚𝐠 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 (𝐈𝐍-𝐋𝐂) brought its 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐓𝐚𝐱𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 (𝐅𝐀𝐓𝐁𝐀𝐒) to SM City Laoag, offering MSMEs and entrepreneurs access to professional guidance and practical business support.
