𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫!

The Officers, Board of Directors, and proud members of the PICE Ilocos Norte - Laoag City Chapter (INLACC) successfully took part in the 24th Region I Technical Conference held this April 9–10, 2026, at the Speaker Pro Tempore Francisco I. Ortega Convention Center in San Fernando City, La Union!

Guided by the theme, “PICE Towards a Sustainable Future: Strengthened by Members, Defined by Specialization,” our delegates joined hundreds of civil engineers from across the region for two days of continuous learning, networking, and professional growth.

The conference served as an excellent avenue to earn CPD units while diving deep into state-of-the-art technologies across PICE’s seven (7) specialty divisions. Beyond technical skills, the sessions tackled vital topics for the modern professional, including Ethics, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), Career Progression, and the Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence in Civil Engineering.

Congratulations to the PICE La Union Chapter for successfully leading this event, and a massive shoutout to our PICE INLACC delegates—including our Chapter President, Engr. Alexander Rentegrado—for actively representing our chapter. Let’s bring these fresh insights back home to build a stronger, more sustainable Ilocos Norte!

Thank you to our partner, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) – Ilocos Norte Chapter, and to our PICE INLACC officers, PICE student members, and volunteers for being part of the success of our Blood Donation Drive conducted on February 28, 2026, at the PRC Center.

Interested PICE INLACC members, family and friends, may visit the PRC anytime to donate blood and contribute to the PICE INLACC Blood Bank, helping save lives in times of need. Be a hero in your own way.

PICE INLACC actively joined the Civic-Military Parade on February 1, 2026, which commenced at the Ferdinand E. Marcos Memorial Stadium. The parade served as the opening activity of the month-long celebration of the Pamulinawen Festival of the City Government of Laoag.

The chapter’s participation was led by Chapter President Engr. Alexander Rentegrado, with the support of the Chapter Officers and Board of Directors, namely Engr. Bernabe Flores, Engr. Gregory C. Bareng, Engr. Jovito S. Viray, Engr. Ferdinand P. Pasion, and Engr. Orencio S. Martin. The activity was also attended by Engr. Aleah Dell C. Rentegrado, together with four student officers from PICE Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU), led by President Regina Gwyneth, and PICE Northwestern University (NWU), led by President Angeline Agtang.

According to Engr. Rentegrado, this year’s parade differed from previous celebrations due to the limitation on the number of participants. “Attendance was limited, with each participating office or organization allowed only ten representatives to avoid long lines and extended waiting times during the parade. With this, I am privileged to lead our group in PICE INLACC,” he said.

The participation of PICE INLACC highlights the organization’s continued support for local government initiatives and its active involvement in community and cultural celebrations.
