𝟮𝟭 𝗢𝗖𝗧𝗢𝗕𝗘𝗥 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 | 𝗣𝗖𝗖𝗜 𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗜𝗟𝗢 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗠𝗘𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗡 𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗕𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗡𝗢. 𝟮𝟰𝟵𝟰

PCCI Iloilo strongly supports Senate Bill No. 2494, authored by Senator Mark Villar, which seeks to convert mandatory discounts granted to senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) from tax deductions into direct tax credits.

While we fully support the benefits and privileges of our senior citizens and PWDs, we also believe that the financial responsibility of providing these benefits must be shared fairly between government and businesses.

With rising operating costs and increasing financial pressures, our MSMEs need policies that will help them remain viable, sustain employment, and continue serving their communities.

Anchored on our thrusts of Inclusivity, Relevance, Sustainability, and Empowerment, PCCI Iloilo advocates for a fair system that protects vulnerable sectors without compromising the survival of small businesses.

Social protection and business sustainability must go hand in hand.

We commend Senator Mark Villar for this timely legislative initiative and call for its passage.

Anchored on the theme "Raising the Bar: Empowering Business for a Resilient Future," the two-day summit gathered key government leaders and industry pioneers to address critical economic priorities, including energy, food innovation, digital connectivity, and international trade partnerships.
