7 Lakes Astronomy Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) ✨🌙🔭
Welcome to 7 Lakes Astronomy! Below are the most asked questions and their respective answers ⬇️
* Is it completely free?
Yes! The sky is free and so is our public outreach.
* If your public outreach is free, then what do you gain from doing it?
As part of our advocacy, our main objective is to provide an opportunity for those who want to appreciate the night sky but lack the equipment and knowledge to look deeper and farther. Organizations like ours provide for that need.
With free telescope viewings, we aim to show the public the beauty of these celestial objects and hope to spark their interest in pursuing astronomy or inspire them in their own artistic crafts.
* How do you sustain doing free telescope viewings?
Our equipment was bought from our own pockets. And all assistance was facilitated by volunteers.
If you’re looking for a way to support our work, you may do so by supporting our merchandise, inviting us to private events, donating astronomy gear, or directly providing financial assistance.
With these gestures, we can ensure to provide more free public lectures.
* Can we hire you for school or private events?
Yes! We’ve been invited to multiple school events where we conduct an amateur astronomy crash course and some guided night-sky tour.
In such events, we require coverage for transportation (gas) and meals for our volunteers. Additional donations are appreciated.
* When and where will be the next telescope viewing?
Our sessions depend on volunteer availability, weather conditions, and Moon visibility. They are usually held on weekends near the Bonifacio Statue at Sampaloc Lake, in front of Holy Birria.
Please check our page for schedule updates.
* Can I become a member?
Yes! If you are passionate about astronomy, enjoy sharing your knowledge about the universe, or are just curious about the cosmos, you may send us a message to join.
**If you have more questions, feel free to reach out to us. Clear skies and see you near the lake!**
