With the theme "Sama-sama para sa Bayang Bumabasa," Binowang National High School officially launched Brigada Eskwela 2025 on June 9 through a vibrant motorcade led by school officials, student leaders, parents, and key community partners. The week-long activity ran until June 13, 2025, showcasing the spirit of bayanihan and the collective effort to prepare the school for the upcoming academic year.
The Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG) officers, together with other student leaders, played an active role in the kick-off ceremony and throughout the week. As early as 7:00 am on June 9, they joined the Brigada Eskwela Motorcade, which roamed around Barangay Fatima and communities, inviting volunteers and reminding the public of the value of shared responsibility in education.
The kick-off program commenced shortly after the motorcade, featuring opening remarks from Master Teacher I Leticia G. Pinggoy, who emphasized the importance of volunteerism and unity. School Principal I, Sir Benjo G. Abellana delivered an inspiring message, acknowledging the unwavering commitment of stakeholders and the growing involvement of the youth in school initiatives.
Stakeholders from various sectors joined the cause, including the Binowang NHS Faculty and Staff, RPSB Sub Cluster 2, Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), School Governance Council, and the KARANCHO Riders Club, who not only ensured the safe and smooth conduct of the motorcade but also assisted in logistical support and campus preparations.
Throughout the week, volunteers worked hand-in-hand in cleaning classrooms, repainting school facilities, repairing chairs and tables, gardening, and organizing learning spaces to make them more welcoming and learner-friendly. The student leaders assisted in mobilizing tasks, documenting activities, and encouraging their fellow learners to be part of this annual tradition of service.
According to SSLG President Jerald Sanchez., “It’s fulfilling to help the school that nurtures us. Brigada Eskwela isn’t just about cleaning; it’s about showing we care for our second home.”
The success of Brigada Eskwela 2025 in Binowang NHS reflects a strong culture of collaboration between the school and its community. As the week concluded, the school stood ready not just in physical structure but in spirit—reaffirming that with the combined effort of learners, educators, and community members, every child can learn in a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment.
As the school year begins, the legacy of this year’s Brigada Eskwela serves as a testament to the enduring power of pakikipagkapwa and the genuine commitment to building a nation that reads, learns, and grows together.
