Lucero Jr. of CLAP Customs Review Center, in collaboration with Pedreza Customs and Tariff Webinars, for conducting a highly informative and insightful webinar on the General Interpretative Rules (GIRs) and Rules of Origin under International Trade Agreements.

The session provided the students with a comprehensive understanding of the proper interpretation and application of the Harmonized System in the accurate classification of goods, highlighting the significance of the sequential application of the GIRs in customs practice. Moreover, the discussion on Rules of Origin emphasized the concepts of wholly obtained goods and substantial transformation as essential determinants in identifying originating goods eligible for preferential tariff treatment under trade agreements such as the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA).
