𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀: 𝟭𝟱𝗥𝗖𝗗𝗚, 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝟭𝟱𝟬𝟮𝗖𝗗𝗖, 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽

The 15th Regional Community Defense Group, through the 1502nd Community Defense Center (1502nd CDC), conducted a courtesy call on Governor Santiago B. Cane Jr. to strengthen support for the Reserve Force Development Program and the implementation of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Program in Agusan del Sur on August 5, 2026.

Lt. Col. Danny C. Magaso, Director, 1502CDC, led the delegation, joined by BGen. Jonathan G. Ponce, Provincial Security Adviser; Maj. Jovane C. Roble, Deputy Director, 1502CDC; Lt. Col. Teodoro N. Plaza, Acting Commanding Officer, 1502RRIBn; and Lt. Rodalyn S. Tusoy, Chief of Security, Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur. The delegation also visited the headquarters of the 544th Engineer Construction Battalion, inspected the newly established 1502CDC Administration Building, and assessed the proposed Training Development Site.

The engagement underscored the continuing partnership between the Provincial Government of Agusan del Sur and 15RCDG through 1502CDC in strengthening Reserve Force development and enhancing facilities that support the training, administration, and operational readiness of citizen soldiers.

The 8th Regional Community Defense Group (8RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army, led by Col. Ramonito C. Taboy, Group Commander, together with Maj. Bethuel N. Barber, Director, 802nd Community Defense Center (802CDC), paid a courtesy call on Col. Oliver C. Alvior, Deputy Commander, 801st Infantry Brigade, representing the Brigade Commander, BGen Arlino L. Sendaydiego, at Camp Daza, Brgy. Fatima, Hinabangan, Samar, on August 3, 2026.

The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration to enhance the mobilization capability and operational readiness of the regional Reserve Force while advancing the implementation of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) Program to further develop discipline, leadership, and patriotism among the youth.

The engagement reaffirmed the partnership between 8RCDG and the 801st Infantry Brigade in supporting a capable, responsive, and mission-ready Reserve Force for national defense, civil-military operations, and disaster response.

𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲: 𝟮𝗥𝗖𝗗𝗚 𝗘𝗻𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗖𝗠𝗧 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗲𝘀' 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀

The 2nd Regional Community Defense Group (2RCDG) conducted a practical exercise on map reading and land navigation for Basic Citizen Military Training (BCMT) Class 13-2026 at Camp Melchor F. Dela Cruz (Annex), Brgy. Soyung, Echague, Isabela, on August 5, 2026.

The exercise strengthened the trainees' skills in terrain analysis, location determination, and ground navigation while improving their ability to plan and execute field operations. Through realistic training scenarios, participants also developed teamwork, leadership, discipline, and camaraderie.

The activity forms part of 2RCDG's continuing training program to equip BCMT trainees with essential military competencies and prepare them to become capable, disciplined, and mission-ready citizen soldiers in support of the Reserve Force.

The Provincial Task Force-Cavite (PTF-Cavite) under the 4th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, strengthened its partnership with PHINMA Education and St. Jude College as Lt. Col. Norrel C. Alog, Acting Commander, attended the Partners' Luncheon 2026 at Paradiso Terrestre, Molino, Bacoor City, Cavite, on August 4, 2026.

Held under the theme "Together, We Make Lives Better," the gathering recognized the invaluable collaboration of partner institutions in advancing education and community development. During the event, Lt. Col. Alog emphasized the vital role of education in fostering peace, nation-building, and youth empowerment, while commending PHINMA Education and St. Jude College for their continued commitment to developing responsible and service-oriented citizens.

PTF-Cavite remains committed to building stronger partnerships with academic institutions in support of Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) programs and other youth development initiatives that promote patriotism, discipline, leadership, and active citizenship.

The 17th Regional Community Defense Group (17RCDG) joined the simultaneous Flag Raising Ceremony in observance of the 77th International Humanitarian Law (IHL) Month, themed "Pinalakas na Ugnayan at Pagkakaisa sa Pagsulong ng IHL," at Headquarters, 17RCDG, KM 6, Brgy. San Juan, Bongabong, Oriental Mindoro, on August 3, 2026.

The ceremony featured the presentation of the IHL Month promotional video, followed by the mass recitation of the AFP Soldier's Pledge led by MSg Albert F. Atilano. Col. Napoleon G. Pabon Jr., Acting Group Commander, also read the message from the Chief of Staff, AFP, emphasizing the Armed Forces of the Philippines' commitment to promoting and protecting human rights while upholding the principles of International Humanitarian Law.

The activity reaffirmed the commitment of 17RCDG personnel to uphold human dignity, respect the rule of law, and perform their duties with professionalism, integrity, and accountability in service to the Filipino people.

The 9th Regional Community Defense Group (9RCDG), under the leadership of Col. Arnold L. Gasalatan, Group Commander, conducted the 3rd Quarter Mustering and Awarding Ceremony for the 2301st Ready Reserve Infantry Brigade (2301st RRIBde) at the 9RCDG Headquarters, Kuta Dao, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, on August 2, 2026.

The activity included troop accounting, record validation, and the presentation of command guidance aimed at enhancing operational readiness, organizational cohesion, and the professional development of reservists. During the ceremony, Col. Gasalatan conferred the Military Commendation Medal upon Col. Benedicto S. Manquiquis, Commander of the 2301st RRIBde, in recognition of his exemplary leadership. Newly promoted enlisted reservists also received their new ranks, while Civil-Military Operations (CMO) active enlisted personnel, reservists, volunteers, and partner stakeholders were recognized for their valuable contributions to humanitarian and community outreach initiatives.

In his message, Col. Arnold L. Gasalatan emphasized that true military readiness extends beyond tactical proficiency, as it is anchored on an unwavering commitment to answer the call of duty in protecting and uplifting the community.

The Provincial Task Force-Cavite (PTF-Cavite), 4th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, joined local government officials, partner agencies, and security stakeholders in the Recommitment to Stable Internal Peace and Security (SIPS) Ceremony on August 3, 2026, in Amadeo, Cavite. Lt. Col. Norrel C. Alog, Acting Commander of PTF-Cavite, reaffirmed the unit's steadfast support for collaborative peace and security initiatives in the municipality.

The ceremony was led by Hon. Jose R. Domingo Jr., Municipal Mayor of Amadeo, who emphasized that maintaining peace and security is a shared responsibility between government agencies and the community. Also present was Lt. Col. Rommel S. Panganiban, Executive Officer of Joint Task Unit Ugnay, who delivered the message of BGen Ernest John C. Jadloc, Commander of the 202nd Infantry Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division, Philippine Army. As part of the activity, Lt. Col. Alog signed the Commitment Wall, symbolizing PTF-Cavite's continued partnership with the local government in advancing programs that promote public safety and community development.

The activity concluded with the signing of the Pledge of Commitment by participating agencies, reaffirming their collective resolve to strengthen coordination in preserving peace and order across the municipality. Through its active participation, PTF-Cavite continues to support whole-of-nation efforts that foster a secure, peaceful, and resilient community for all Caviteños.

The 10th Regional Community Defense Group (10RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army, joined the Joint Opening Ceremony of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) for Academic Year 2026–2027 and the Donning of Ranks of Advanced Cadet Officers, with Col. Bernard T. Ragus, Group Commander, serving as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, at Tagoloan Community College, Misamis Oriental, on August 2, 2026.

Anchored on the theme, “Duty Beyond Self: Empowering Cadets as Catalysts for Peace and Progress,” the activity formally opened the new ROTC training year while recognizing the leadership, dedication, and commitment of newly promoted Advanced Cadet Officers. In his keynote address, Col. Ragus underscored the importance of discipline, integrity, patriotism, and selfless service as the foundation of effective leadership, encouraging the cadets to lead by example and uphold their responsibilities with excellence as future leaders of the nation.

The activity reaffirmed 10RCDG's commitment to strengthening the ROTC Program by developing competent, resilient, and service-oriented citizen-soldiers. Through its continued partnership with educational institutions, the unit remains steadfast in cultivating future leaders who embody the values of honor, service, and patriotism while contributing to peace, progress, and national development.

The 8th Regional Community Defense Group (8RCDG), Reserve Command, Philippine Army, through the 801st Community Defense Center (801CDC) under the leadership of its Director, Lt. Col. Jason G. Capoquian, held a courtesy meeting with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Northern Samar Provincial Office to strengthen the partnership in developing a capable and mission-ready reserve force in Catarman, Northern Samar, on August 3, 2026.

Maj. Geraldine C. Maquilabit (RES), DILG Provincial Director and reservist officer, welcomed Col. Agustin A. Ganaden Sr., Acting Brigade Commander, 1903rd Ready Reserve Infantry Brigade; Maj. Neil S. Hernandez (RES), Acting Battalion Commander, 801st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion and 1st District Board Member; MSg Noel S. Regal, Chief Clerk, 801CDC; and other reservists. The meeting focused on strengthening coordination between military and civilian stakeholders to support the continuous development of the province's reserve force.

The activity reaffirmed the shared commitment of 8RCDG, through 801CDC, and the DILG to build a well-trained and dependable reserve force capable of supporting peace and security, disaster response, and community development initiatives in Northern Samar.

Nagsimula ang pagdiriwang bilang Linggo ng Wika bago ito pinalawig at ginawang Buwan ng Wika sa pamamagitan ng Proklamasyon Bilang 1041 na nilagdaan ni dating Pangulong Fidel V. Ramos noong 1997. Mula noon, taun-taon itong ipinagdiriwang bilang pagpupugay sa ating pambansang wika at sa mahalagang papel nito sa paghubog ng isang makabayan, nagkakaisa, at responsableng mamamayan.

Ang pagpapahalaga sa wikang Filipino ay kaakibat ng ating paninindigan sa paglilingkod sa bayan. Patuloy nating pagyamanin ang ating sariling wika bilang salamin ng ating pagkakakilanlan at matibay na sandigan ng pagkakaisa at pagmamahal sa bansa.
