🙏Gospel Of The Day
📅August 10, 2026
📖John 12: 24-26

Reflection:

The Parable of the Seed

The Single Seed: A grain kept safe in a box remains alone and useless.
The Surrender: It must break open in the dark soil to fulfill its purpose.
The Harvest: Death to self unlocks a rich, multiplied return.

Losing and Keeping Life

Selfish Love: Clinging to comfort and ego leads to spiritual emptiness.
Holy Detachment: "Hating" worldly selfishness means choosing God's higher priority.
Eternal Reward: Sacrificing temporal pride preserves the soul for forever.

Following and Serving

True Discipleship: A servant walks precisely where the Master leads.
Divine Honor: The Father recognizes and rewards humble, active service.

🙏Gospel Of The Day
📅August 6, 2026
📖Matthew 17:1-9

Reflection:

A Glimpse of Glory: Jesus reveals his true divine nature to anchor the disciples' faith before they witness the profound suffering of his upcoming passion and death.

The Command to Listen: The Father's instruction—"Listen to him"—redirects focus away from trying to stay in moments of comfort (like Peter wanting to build tents) and toward obedience to Christ’s teachings.

Touch and Reassurance: Overcome by fear, the disciples fall down, but Jesus draws near, touches them, and says, "Get up and do not be afraid".Jesus Only: When the vision fades, Moses and Elijah are gone, and they see "Jesus himself alone", symbolizing that Christ fulfills the Law and the Prophets as the sole source of salvation.

📖Matthew 14:22-36

Reflection:

Facing the Storms of Life

Leaving the comfort zone: Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and face the rough sea while He prayed, testing and growing their trust in Him.

Distraction brings doubt: Peter walked on water when he looked at Jesus, but he began to sink the moment he looked at the strong wind and waves.

Immediate rescue: When Peter cried out "Lord, save me!", Jesus instantly grabbed his hand, proving He does not wait for perfect faith to help us.Recognizing the Son of God.

📅August 1, 2026
📖Matthew 14:1-12

The Cost of Truth and Integrity
Speaking out: John the Baptist courageously told Herod that his unlawful marriage to his brother’s wife, Herodias, was wrong.

The price of righteousness: John chose honesty over safety and paid for his moral conviction with his life.

Foreshadowing: This dark event foreshadows the ultimate rejection and suffering that Jesus Himself would face.
