The evening of September 26, 2025, was one to remember for the Phinma Cagayan de Oro College Department of Architecture, as the United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary (UAPSAโPhinma COC Chapter) and the Department of Architecture Student Body Organization (DASBO) came together to host Architecture Night 2025, themed โArki Night: A Golden Soirรฉe.โHeld at the Rosario Pavilion, Limketkai, Cagayan de Oro City, the night radiated elegance and excitement โ a true celebration of creativity, camaraderie, and architectural spirit. A Night that Shined in Gold as students and faculty filled the venue in their golden-themed attire, the energy was unmatched. The event kicked off with an energy check and roll call, setting an enthusiastic tone for the night. Hosts kept the crowd engaged while the atmosphere glowed with anticipation. After the acknowledgment of guests and the national anthem, the stage was graced by heartfelt messages and inspiring words from respected figures in the architecture community. AR. Sabornido delivered the opening remarks, while AR. Javierโs welcome address resonated with encouragement and pride for the future architects of Phinma COC.
Celebrating Creativity and Camaraderie. An opening salvo by faculty members, mayors, and representatives brought life to the stage, followed by fun icebreakers and performances that showcased the studentsโ creativity beyond design boards. The highlight of the night included the Lip Sync Battle and the Singing Contest, both of which stirred cheers, laughter, and friendly competition among students. Each performance reflected the fun and artistry that make architecture students stand out โ proving that their talents go far beyond drafting tables and technical drawings. Dinner was shared in an atmosphere of warmth and connection, as officers from DASBO serenaded the crowd with live performances. Recognizing Excellence. The event also recognized individuals and teams who have shown exceptional performance and dedication throughout the semester. UAPSA and DASBO jointly presented awards to outstanding students and organizations, highlighting not only academic excellence but also leadership, service, and creative innovation. Special thanks and recognition were also extended to sponsors and supporters who helped make the event possible. A Golden Ending as the evening drew a close, AR. Castro delivered the closing remarks, reminding everyone that architecture is not merely about design โ it is about purpose, passion, and the relationships built along the way. The night concluded with a lively after-party, where laughter and music filled the air โ a perfect finale to a celebration that strengthened the bonds of the architecture family.
