For some, September is the beginning of their school year. It is the beginning of a new adventure with so much to learn, from lessons and subjects to how they interact with others and growing a good character.

As the school year progresses, they’ll face many challenges. Unruly classmates unwilling to contribute to projects, tight deadlines, and difficulties in understanding subjects. Yet, it is an unseen strength to see them day after day, sitting in their seats, trying their best to keep or raise their grades, not even mentioning whatever problems they have outside of the school.

It is that unseen strength that we want to cultivate and instill into our beneficiaries. That strength is choosing to continue no matter how life tries to bring them down.

Last August 23, we finally held our monthly GMT after the heavy rains had kept us from meeting with our scholars. We're grateful to True Shepherd Christian Reformed Church for sharing a powerful message from Philippians 4:10-20 — Paul's letter of gratitude to the Philippian church, and one of Scripture's clearest passages on contentment and God's provision.

The message reminded us that true contentment isn't found in our circumstances, but in Christ who strengthens us. It also highlighted the beauty of partnership — how the Philippians stood by Paul in giving and receiving, and how God, in turn, promises to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory through Christ Jesus.

Our scholars enjoyed rich fellowship and conversation over lunch, followed by fun activities that capped off the day.

We are truly blessed to have this church as a partner in our ministry!

Building 2 is now 45% complete!

Construction is steadily moving forward as walls rise, rooms take shape, and the foundation for a brighter future continues to grow.

Every block laid, every wall built, and every step completed brings us closer to finishing a safe and dignified home for released PDLs who may have no place to return to.

We are deeply grateful to our sponsors, partners, builders, and supporters whose generosity and commitment help make this construction possible.

Together, we are building homes, strengthening foundations, and creating hope one brick at a time.

Investing in growth, one training at a time!

We're incredibly grateful for the opportunity our employees had this week to attend a hands-on training session on the Smartbox function. It was a valuable experience filled with fresh insights, practical skills, and meaningful learning for everyone involved. A heartfelt thank you to Pastor Jeith Parazo for sharing your time, expertise, and guidance with us your leadership made all the difference!

But that's not all we also had the chance to dive into training on managing our 'Ina-Inakay' website, equipping our team with the knowledge to better maintain and grow this important platform. Every opportunity to learn is a stepping stone toward becoming better at what we do.

We believe that continuous growth, both personal and professional, is key to serving our community or beneficiaries well. For these blessings and for every lesson gained, we extend our deepest gratitude in every support.

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗛𝗲𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲🎓💛

At just 5 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗹𝗱, her life changed.

In 2008, her mother, who is a Person with Disability (PWD), was incarcerated at the Correctional Institution for Women (CIW). She and her older siblings were left in the care of their grandmother.

Her grandmother loved and cared for them, but life was not easy. She had no fixed income and earned small commissions by helping people pawn their belongings. Despite having very little, she did everything she could to keep the family together and support the children.

In 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 4, during the school year 2013–2014, she became part of the 𝗜𝗻𝗮-𝗜𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗮𝘆 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺.

As she grew older, her aunt and uncle also helped support her education. In return, she helped with household chores. She learned early that continuing her studies would require responsibility, sacrifice, and perseverance.

In 2022, while pursuing her education, she began working as a teller at a lottery outlet. She earned ₱200 𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝘆 and worked hard to help meet her needs while continuing her studies.

Then, in 2023, she faced another painful loss her grandmother passed away.

The woman who had cared for her, raised her, and stood beside her through some of the most difficult years of her life was gone.

But she continued.

She carried the lessons, love, and sacrifices of her grandmother with her. Through every challenge, she held on to the hope that education could help her build a better future.

Today, by God’s grace, she is now a proud graduate with a 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽.🎓

Her diploma represents more than years of study.

It carries the sacrifices of her grandmother.

The support of her aunt and uncle.

The strength she found while working and studying.

And the kindness of every person who believed that her circumstances should not decide her future.

To our donors, partners, and supporters, thank you for helping make stories like hers possible. Your support reaches beyond educational assistance. It gives children the opportunity to continue, grow, and believe that their dreams are still within reach.

Her journey reminds us that even when life is difficult, hope can continue and sometimes, hope leads all the way to graduation. 💛
