Every box carried represents more than school supplies—it carries hope, encouragement, and the reminder that a child is not alone in pursuing their education.

𝗔 𝗥𝗘𝗙𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗢𝗡 𝗙𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗗𝗢𝗠 🇵🇭

Last week, as our nation commemorated Independence Day, we were reminded that freedom means different things to different people.
​
​
Together with our longtime partner, Minkah Ministries Inc., we visited the women of the Correctional Institute for Women.
​
​
Behind the walls are stories often unseen—stories of struggle, loss, regret, and consequences. But there are also stories of faith, resilience, and hope.
​
Hope for restoration.
​
Hope for reconciliation.
​
Hope for a second chance.
​
​
As we spent time with the women, we were reminded that while some forms of freedom are physical, others begin in the heart.
​
The freedom to hope.
​
The freedom to heal.
​
The freedom to believe that one's past does not have to define one's future.
​
​
Our visit was a reminder that every person is more than the worst mistake they have made. Every person has value.
Every person deserves dignity, compassion, and the opportunity to begin again.
​
​
As we continue our mission alongside families affected by incarceration, we pray for healing, restoration, and renewed hope for the women we met and for the loved ones waiting for them at home.
​
​
Because sometimes, the journey toward freedom begins long before the prison gates open.
​

Last June 14, we distributed school supplies and umbrellas to our NCR scholars as they prepare for the new school year.

Despite the unfavorable weather, our school supplies distribution was successfully carried out through the wholehearted support of our partner churches, dedicated volunteers, generous donors, and faithful sponsors.

​
Because of your kindness, many children and families in Sula, Tarlac received the school supplies they need as they prepare for another school year.
For families facing financial challenges, these supplies are more than just notebooks, pencils, and learning materials—they are a source of relief, encouragement, and hope.
​
​
One child excitedly received their first complete set of school supplies for the year, proudly holding each item with a smile.
Moments like these remind us that what may seem like a simple gift can make a meaningful difference in a child's life.

We are grateful to the True Shepherd Christian Reformed Church for warmly welcoming us during their worship service last June 14.
It was a blessing to worship together, hear God's Word, and connect with their congregation and youth.
​
​
​
This month's GMT gathering was a joyful celebration of new beginnings as we welcomed new scholars and new members of our Board of Trustees while preparing for another school year.
Our NCR scholars also received their school supplies, a reminder that they are supported by a caring community that believes in their potential and future.
​
​
​
We would also like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to Doc Tina as we bid her farewell from the Board of Trustees.
Thank you for your faithful service, dedication, and unwavering support of the Ina-Inakay mission.
Your compassion, leadership, and commitment have made a lasting impact on the lives of many children and families.
While we will miss your presence, we celebrate all that you have contributed and pray for God's continued guidance and blessings in your next chapter.

My name is Dette, and being an Ina-Inakay Scholar was more than just a part of my education—it became a significant part of my life and helped shape the person I am today.
​
​
Throughout this journey, I faced many challenges. There were moments of exhaustion, fear, uncertainty, and times when I felt like giving up. There were days when the future seemed unclear and my dreams felt far beyond reach. But despite everything, I learned to keep moving forward because there were people who chose to support me, believe in me, and walk alongside me.
​
​
The support I received from Ina-Inakay meant more than financial assistance. It became a source of hope, encouragement, and inspiration. Every act of kindness reminded me that I was not alone in pursuing my dreams. Knowing that others believed in me gave me the strength to believe in myself and work even harder toward my goals.
​
​
As a scholar, I learned to become more resilient, responsible, and determined. Every obstacle I overcame helped me grow—not only as a student, but as a person. The journey was never easy, but it taught me valuable lessons about perseverance, faith, and gratitude.
​
​
Today, as I look back on everything I have been through, I realize that many of the dreams I once thought were impossible are now becoming reality. This would not have been possible without the support, opportunities, and trust that Ina-Inakay gave me.
​
​
From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in me when I struggled to believe in myself. Your support did not only help me continue my education—it helped change the direction of my life.

Education gives children more than knowledge.
