As July comes to a close, we’re looking back at an incredible month of growth, milestones, and impact across the UYEP.

Huge thanks to our participants, team, and community for making it all happen!

We also acknowledge the continued support from the Lae City Authority (LCA) and its Board of Management as we continue creating opportunities for young people.

Looking ahead, August promises even more engaging activities and transformative opportunities for our participants.

A big thank you to Lae City Authority (LCA) for funding the SME Component, empowering young people to start sustainable businesses, earn an income, and build a brighter future for themselves and their communities.

Exciting progress for Lae!

A high level World Bank delegation recently visited the Lae Main Market redevelopment site!

Funded in partnership with the Lae City Authority, Australia, and New Zealand, this massive project is doing so much more than building a market, it has already employed over 150 Papua New Guineans.

In addition, this project has been working closely with Urban Youth Employment Project (UYEP) under Lae City Authority (LCA) to provide hands on construction training for local youth, equipping them with practical skills and work experience for future employment.
