Governor Luther Wenge needs to address two crucial questions about the Infrastructure Development Grant (IDG):

1๏ธโƒฃ Has the Morobe Provincial Government (MPG) set guidelines for IDG disbursement?

2๏ธโƒฃ Do the Babuaf, Yanta, and Hengambu Landowner Associations have plans to use the IDG for infrastructure development in the Wafi-Golpu SML 10 area?

If these questions remain unanswered, it's vital for responsible parties to act swiftly to ensure the IDG benefits the Wafi-Golpu landowners. If answers are available, transparency and accountability are key to establishing real infrastructure before the mining project begins.

Why Development Plans Matter:

๐Ÿ”น Strategic Allocation: Ensure funds impact infrastructure, healthcare, and education.
๐Ÿ”น Transparency & Accountability: Track spending to maintain trust.
๐Ÿ”น Sustainable Development: Prioritize long-term community benefits.
๐Ÿ”น Coordination & Efficiency: Avoid overlapping projects and use resources wisely.
๐Ÿ”น Compliance: Align spending with provincial guidelines to avoid issues.

Comprehensive development plans will help maximize IDG benefits and support sustainable growth in Wafi-Golpu communities. ๐ŸŒโœจ

Lerom ILG is on board!

๐Ÿ“ฃ We're fully behind WGJV and the Morobe Provincial Government in their community meetings about the Wafi-Golpu Mining Project. It's great to see them reaching out to the Hengambu and Babuaf communities for their input.

As a Tier 1 community, it's important that we understand the project and how it will affect our land. We're looking forward to more of these meetings so we can stay informed and have a say in what happens next.

Keep up the great work, everyone!

๐ŸŒ๐Ÿค Building Stronger Ties Between Government and Wafi-Golpu Landowners ๐Ÿค๐ŸŒ

To ensure every voice is heard and valued in the Wafi-Golpu mining project, hereโ€™s how we can improve communication:

1๏ธโƒฃ Regular Meetings: Consistent discussions to share updates and address concerns.
2๏ธโƒฃ Engagement Programs: Empowering landowners to shape the future by involving them in decision-making.
3๏ธโƒฃ Transparency: Clear, honest communication about finances and benefits to build trust.
4๏ธโƒฃ Local Representation: Including local leaders in negotiations to ensure direct representation.
5๏ธโƒฃ Feedback Channels: Easy ways for landowners to voice their opinions through hotlines, suggestion boxes, and forums.
6๏ธโƒฃ Training Opportunities: Providing resources to help landowners understand their rights and the mining process.
7๏ธโƒฃ Conflict Resolution: Creating simple, effective methods for resolving disputes.
8๏ธโƒฃ On-the-Ground Visits: Encouraging government officials to connect directly with communities.

Together, we can create a partnership that fosters trust, respect, and shared success! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’ฌ

๐ŸŒโœจ Honoring Late Chief Ezra Kwako: A True Advocate for the Babuaf Tribe โœจ๐ŸŒ

Late Ezra Kwako, the former Paramount Chief of the Babuaf tribe, was a steadfast protector of the Lerom clan and all landowners involved in the Wafi-Golpu Mining Project. He stood firm against political tactics that bypassed genuine consultation with landowners, declaring, โ€œPolitical interference to propagate better processes is not to be entertained.โ€

Chief Kwako called for transparency and accountability, urging that the Babuaf Landowners Association always act in the true interests of the landowners. โ€œPeople have trust in the executives,โ€ he reminded us, emphasizing leadership that genuinely represents the community.

As mediation efforts continue, Chief Kwakoโ€™s vision remains clear: โ€œWe all should work together... for the benefit of the people of Morobe and not individuals.โ€ His unwavering commitment ensures that the voices of Morobeโ€™s people are heard, and their rights respected.

Letโ€™s stand united behind leaders like late Chief Ezra Kwako, who champion justice, equity, and a prosperous future for all! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’š
