📣 Meet the Candidates – Wellington North

Thursday 15 October | From 6:30pm
📍 Aro Valley Community Centre, 48 Aro Street

Come along and meet the people standing to represent Wellington North in Parliament.

This is a chance to hear from the candidates, ask questions and find out whether the things you think are important for Wellington are important to them too.

We welcome respectful and thoughtful kōrero — and just as importantly, listening to different views.

The Electoral Commission will also be around on the night for anyone who isn’t yet enrolled to vote.

🗳️ Most importantly, make sure your voice is heard — vote on Election Day.

Everyone is welcome.

🌿 SENIORS’ WEEK | 12–18 OCTOBER 🌿

Let’s celebrate the seniors in our community, because we wouldn’t be here without them. 💚

🥳 Seniors’ Luncheon Gathering

Saturday 17 October 2026
12pm–2pm
📍 Aro Valley Community Centre, 48 Aro Street

Come along for a relaxed luncheon with a bit of a retro feel! We’ll have some nostalgic food, good kai and plenty of time to meet, catch up, share stories and enjoy each other’s company.

Seniors are welcome to bring family and friends — and family and friends are welcome to bring a senior! Everyone is welcome.

💚 Suggested koha: $5 if you can — otherwise free.

Please RSVP to [email protected] so we can plan catering and make sure there’s a seat for you.

Let’s celebrate Seniors’ Week together! 🌿

🔨 Aro Valley Community Centre Working Bee! 🌿

As part of our Make Better Use of Our Community Spaces project, we’re giving the Community Centre, garages and grounds a good tidy-up.

Want to do a bit for the community? Come lend a hand!

📅 Saturday 26 September
🕙 10am–2pm
📍 Aro Valley Community Centre

We’re also looking to clear out items we no longer use to make more space. Before anything heads to the tip, pop by and see if there’s something you could reuse, repurpose or give a new home to.

Bring yourself, a pair of gloves if you have them, and get stuck in! 💪
