Back in 2017 when the Local Government Commission rejected North Rodney getting out of AC, it said it was for two reasons - too few people to be a Unitary Authority and we did not have enough resources - it said we needed 20 to 27% higher rates to be viable. Well - guess what AC has done? - made the case for us!! 😃

Congratulations to all our new and re-elected Board members. We wish you every success in your support and development of Rodney over the next three years!
NAG is looking forward to seeing more connected and engaged Rodney communities with a revitalised and supportive Local Board
And a special thanks to all candidates who stood but didn't get elected! You upheld democratic values and your willingness to contribute shows your care for our communities.
Although overall voter turnout was low, Rodney voting was among the highest in Auckland, so - regardless of who you voted for - Rodney voters need a pat on the back too!

Great to see that as of yesterday, Warkworth subdivision had the highest advance voting across all of Auckland at 21.5%
That clearly shows NAGs initiative which led to fair and balanced representation across Rodney has stimulated voting interest.
If you haven't done so get out and VOTE people.
If you don't know who to vote for this may help:
