Waipu Playcentre At Playcentre children do what they do best - PLAY! Waipu Playcentre is our village. Waipu Playcentre is subsidised by the New Zealand Ministry of Education.

Free under 2 years, 2 years and over is $20 per term. Families are welcome to drop in during opening hours to visit the centre. Playcentre caters to families with children aged 0-6 years. Each Playcentre around New Zealand is cooperatively managed by parents and supported by Playcentre Aotearoa staff at a regional and national level.

Our Playcentre offer fun, hands-on environments where tamariki can learn through play — from arts and crafts to outdoor adventures and messy play! Plus, it’s a great chance for parents and caregivers to connect and be part of their child’s learning journey.

Playcentre would like to extend a massive thank you to Rachael and the incredible team at New World Mangawhai for their amazing generosity.

They have kindly donated essential items to help us put together our civil defence kits, ensuring our tamariki and whanau are safe and prepared for any emergencies.
