💛 Giving back to our community 💛

We know that raising funds for good causes is becoming harder, which makes us incredibly proud to share that during the last financial year our club donated more than $60,000 to a range of very worthy causes.

Through two major fundraising events, County Lane Fair and The Wellington Truck and Transport Show we were able to support:
✨ Life Flight
✨ Upper Hutt Autism Group
✨ Wellington Hospitals Foundation

We were also proud to support:
🌟 Silverstream School
🌟 Te Omanga Hospice
🌟 Friends of Mawai Hakona Stream - Upper Hutt
🌟 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Wellington
🌟 Marlborough Street Childcare Centre

Our community sausage sizzle programme outside New World Silverstream also helped local groups raise funds for their own projects, including:
🌭Pinehaven Playcentre
🌭 Silverstream Volunteer Fire Brigade
🌭 A local paintball team

A huge thank you to everyone who supports our events throughout the year. Every ticket, donation, raffle and sausage sizzle helps us continue supporting our community 💙

📍 Brewtown, Upper Hutt

Calling all makers, creators, upcyclers, recyclers, local legends and plastic-free stallholders - this is your kind of fair! 💚

We’re also on the hunt for an awesome variety of food trucks 🍔☕🍦

🛍 Stallholder applications open 1 July 2026, and this year registrations will be through Stall Hub.

Pop the date in your calendar now - we can’t wait for another amazing day of creativity, community, entertainment, great food and good vibes! ✨

What a day! You guys love a sausage sizzle after you have hunted down your books at the Heretaunga Bookfest Charitable Trust.

We sold 420 snags, fried 5kg of onions and used 22 loaves of bread!

We will be back tomorrow at the rear of Whirinaki Whare Taonga to do it all again.

Every sausage sizzle we sell puts $$ back into the community so thank you!

A huge thank you to our amazing community and beyond. You showed up this morning to help KiwiRail Keep Hutt Valley Beautiful and Silverstream Lions Club NZ give the railway corridor and surrounding streets an overdue clean. Silverstream Volunteer Fire Brigade also joined us. Thanks guys!

Always great to have the kids from the local Sunday School getting involved as well.

Without Issac from Kiwi Rail we wouldn't be able to get access to w**d and mulch. Enjoy your retirement Issac, you deserve it!

We received notification Te Omanga Hospice put the generator we supplied to great use last week during a power cut.
It's wonderful to know that they have the back up when required.

New year, fresh connections, stronger community.

The Silverstream Lions Club brings together locals who care - about people, about community, and about making a positive impact close to home.

You don’t need experience, just a good heart and a willingness to get involved. The friendships are a bonus.

1st meeting for 2026 will be on Wednesday February 4th 6.30pm for 7pm start at Silverstream Volunteer Fire Brigade
