The Arts Hub - Te Anau

04/10/2026

These two artworks supporting the Trevor Walker Rural Health Scholarship are still waiting for their next home at the Te Anau Arts Hub.

If you’ve walked past them before, this might be your reminder to stop and have a proper look.

We’re meeting with the Trust next week to confirm the closing date, so there’s still time to enquire or come and see them in person.

A piece of art, with a purpose beyond the wall. 💚

Look at these incredible creations!
We had the absolute best time at our Wet Felt Bowl Making Workshop with the talented tutor Sonya Hoffman! 🎨✨
Our amazing students completely transformed loose, raw fibre into gorgeous, functional art pieces.
Here is a quick look behind the scenes at how the magic happened:
Layering: Everyone started by carefully arranging colourful layers of wool roving.
Agitation: With plenty of warm soapy water and a bit of muscle, the fibres began to tangling and lock together.
Shaping: The wet felt was then molded and sculpted into beautiful, durable bowls.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for a social, fun, and beautifully tactile creative session!
