Haere atu ra Adrian, i tua te arai, ki te aroha o tou tupuna.

We remember the man who took time out of his busy work schedule to attend our Waitangi Big Day Out events, who visited the office in full election mode, not to seek votes, but to acknowledge the work done in Mokai Patea during Covid.

Thank you for being an inspiration, and mentor, ki a tatou katoa. Thoughts and blessings to the whanau, hapu, me nga iwi at this time.

Time is running out, don't wait around, because there is no option to enrol on the day to vote. If you want to try and help change things for the better, for ourselves, our whanau, hapu and iwi, our community, make sure your registered and get informed.

This week’s Friday Fact is: You must be enrolled by midnight, 25 October to be able to vote in the 2026 General Election.

Enrol early so you're ready to vote!

If you've enrolled by midnight, Sunday 4 October, we'll send you an EasyVote card, which makes voting faster and easier. If you've given us your email address, we'll send your EasyVote card by email.

You can't enrol to vote or update your enrolment details during voting (26 October to 7 November), but you'll be able to enrol and update your details again after voting ends.

Get your diaries out and save the date Whanau, our Biennial Waitangi Big Day Out takes place next year.

Currently working on how the day will look, but there will be education, culture, entertainment, kai and koha to give away. Some things we've done before. and something new.
