HE PĀNUI – Owhaoko B & D Trust

Kia ora e te whānau,

Further to our pānui last week, the Trust is seeking expressions of interest in relation to the potential build of a new owners lodge on the whenua — a place to help owners, beneficiaries and their descendants reconnect with their whenua.
Our first call for expressions of interest is for the following disciplines:

🔹 Civil / infrastructure engineering (including surveying)
🔹 Geotechnical engineering
🔹 Structural engineering
🔹 Services engineering (electrical, solar, water systems)
🔹 Fire engineering
🔹 Quantity surveying
🔹 Contractors with off-site manufacturing capability
🔹 Energy modelling

We are especially interested in connecting with people who:

🌿 Whakapapa to the whenua, Ngāti Whitikaupeka, Ngāti Tamakōpiri
🌿 Have relevant experience in similar projects
🌿 Understand working in remote locations
🌿 Value kaupapa Māori approaches and working alongside whānau

This remains an early-stage investigation, and a full report on the project will be presented at the owners meeting, with further updates to follow if it proceeds.
