Aorangi Awarua Trust The Trust manages Aorangi & Awarua 1DB2 located on Taihape/Napier Road next to Rangitikei River, it consists of 5000 hectares of pristine natural forests.

Aorangi Awarua Trust was setup under the Te Ture Whenua Maori Act and manages land known as Aorangi (Awarua) and Awarua 1DB2. It has almost 1300 succeeded owners and consists of 5,000 hectares of ancestral land. It is located N.W. Ruahine Range on east bank of Rangitikei River on the Taihape Napier Road. The land is one of the most pristine, natural native forests in a remote part of North Island

and only accessible via helicopter. If you wish to access the land contact must be made with Trust Administrator first.
