World Farm Animals Day 🐑🐄

Today we remember the farm animals who have walked beside us throughout history.
Horses carried soldiers through wars, pulled ploughs and carts, and stood beside people in times of hardship. Oxen, donkeys, cows, sheep, goats and chickens have all played their part in helping feed us, clothe, and even entertain us and build our communities. As humans we have asked and they have delivered. It's time to give back

Behind all that hard work and expectation is a sentient being, capable of feeling pain, fear, comfort, affection and connection.

Here at Hidden Valley Farm Sanctuary, we are reminded every day that farm animals are so much more than what they can do for us.

They have personalities, friendships, preferences and their own unique ways of communicating, that can be enjoyed at a mutual level.

Today, we honour them, past and present, and celebrate those who now have a place where they don't have to work at all. ❤️

Every animal has a story. Every animal deserves to be seen.

Apologies to anybody who got confused because I pulled a post down, the reason for that is we had a dilemma. We've been so overwhelmed by beautiful gifts and vouchers that we have to have a jiggler around to being keeping with the rules of the bingo and to be considerate of the awesome businesses and individuals who donated them.

Please say below how we've now structured the prizes. The high value prizes have been put into the raffle giving everybody the opportunity to support us and be into when these incredible donations. They are all high value items and we hope this will be reflected in the return for the support of The hidden valley farm sanctuary animals.

The bingo prizes we've tried to make interesting and a little bit different and we look forwards to have fun with you on the bingo table and seeing who are the lucky winners.

I want to thank Claire Hutt for her continued support of the sanctuary and myself, she's put in the hard graft to make the posters and make sure the event happens and everybody has fun. We could not do it without her.

We also thank Danielle for the venue at the Hotel Motueka
Of course we also thank all those wonderful businesses and individuals who have been kind enough to donate to make this bingo one in a million!!!

The count down to our new look. A brand new website is about to be launched. A new booking system called , which is in line with Motueka isite Visitor Information Centre and other visitor centres. It will first enable people to book directly from the website for our exclusive Hidden Valley Farm NZ Hidden Hamlet Camping Hut experience. We are encouraging families and small groups to enjoy the topic a hill by booking longer holidays, to enjoy a 400 acres of device Takaka terrain, beautiful native forest, streams, incredible bird song, and the Sanctuary animals. Your holiday can also include visits to the Takaka Hill Adventures Via Ferrata Aotearoa Inc. and the Caves, Hardwood Hole, the Abel Tasman inland track and the Takaka hill track. Enjoy a weekend fit out into Golden Bay for the Saturday Country market or into motueka on the Sunday market. There is so much to do and explore here it deserves a longer stay.

Make new nostalgic memories just like the old days, cooking under the stars on an open fire, watching the sunrise, slowing children to climb trees and get muddy. Unplug and relax in our swinging egg chair, read a book and simply do nothing.
