We’re a local group here to support the Puhoi community with free pest control support. What you do on your property contributes to the preservation of our native wildlife - join the many home trappers in our area who are making a difference!

Go you good things! Thank you to all the trappers out there - we’ve sailed past the 4,000 catches milestone on Trap NZ! 4370 catches recorded so far, 216 in the last 30 days alone! Every effort you make, makes a difference for our native wildlife. Give yourselves a pat on the back and if you’re running low on supplies come and see us at the next Puhoi Village Market in June!

Want to learn the basics of slug gun safety and effective use? Join us for supervised, hands on training in a small group. Learn how to humanely hunt and cull rabbits and possums, including culling those caught in live capture traps. Change up your pest control efforts and learn some new skills.

If you have a Doc 200 from us that you are no longer using we would be most grateful if you could please drop it in to us at the market (don’t worry if it’s grubby). We have a wait list for Doc 200s and lots of stoat sightings around the village!
Otherwise come and see us for rat and possum traps, bait, trapping handbooks and build your own trap kits (great for school holiday projects) 🪤

A hearty thanks to the students of Kings College who assembled this fantastic new batch of rat tunnels for our community. Puhoi Landcare supplied the materials and the students provided the elbow grease. What a wonderful act of community spirit by these young folk, not only helping out our team but making a real contribution to protecting our native wildlife.
