Big changes to local government are being discussed across New Zealand.

The Government is requiring councils to consider possible amalgamation into larger council structures and that could affect who represents our communities, how local decisions are made, and how services are delivered in the future.

No decisions have been made about the future of Manawatū District Council.

But these conversations could shape our district for generations, which is why we want our community involved before any future direction is considered.

Public meetings are being held online and across the district, including Feilding, Pohangina, Kimbolton and Rongotea. It's important you are part of the conversation.

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to the hall for the show on Friday night. What a wonderful evening! The music was absolutely fantastic and the movies beautiful and fascinating. It was the first time many of us had heard the Uilleann pipes, one of the many instruments that were played by the talented musicians. Sean Kelly and the Super 8’s put on such a great show and we feel very lucky to have had them here in the valley.
