Thank you to WELCCU for the invite to Ex Kaitoke. What an awesome weekend to learn about life in the field, including the importance of emergency evacuation points and casualty evacuation drills.

Officers and Cadets of TS Tamatoa, No. 2 Squadron ATC, and the City of Lower Hutt Army Cadets proudly supported commemorations across our community this Anzac Day.

Throughout the day, they attended eight Services and Parades, remembering the courage, sacrifice, and enduring spirit of all those who served.

Lest We Forget.

As we turn our minds to the significance of tomorrow, we take a moment to reflect on those who served, and those who never returned.

Tomorrow, we will remember those that served , and those that faced hardship and sacrifice in service to others.

Their service endures through values of courage, teamwork, and integrity.
As members of the New Zealand Cadet Forces, we reflect on these values and what they mean for us today.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.
I te hekenga o te rā, i te aranga ake anō hoki, ka maumahara tonu tātou ki a rātou.

We will remember them

At about 5am today (27/02/25) some extremely lovely person broke into our boat shed and stole our quad bike that TS Tamatoa Navy Cadets and ourselves use to get the kayaks and boats on and off the beach each week.

Quad is a blue 2002 Yamaha grizzly yfm660

It last seen heading across lions park and up Waione St.

If anyone knows anything or has any footage please either get in contact with us or the police.

What an awesome day at the Petone Fair! We had so many great conversations with families and young people about what Cadets is all about — building confidence, leadership, resilience, and skills that set teenagers up for life.

If you know someone who might thrive in a supportive, structured, and inclusive organisation like ours, we’d like to meet them.

Cadets: Ages 13–15 (or Year 9–11)
Tamatoa Dolphins: Ages 10–12

A huge thank‑you to everyone who stopped by for a chat , including our local Police who even had a quick knot tying lesson from one of our Cadets.

TS Tamatoa End of Year Parade,
4 Dec 2025.

The weather favoured us on the day and guests were invited to sit in the sunshine whilst we paraded for inspection by reviewing Officer LTCDR Jonathan Otto, RNZN.

Afterwards, all were cordially invited to sit inside to celebrate notable achievements of the past year by Tamatoa’s cadets. Bravo Zulu all! Prize winners or not you have all achieved something this past year.
