Southward Hidden Gems #006 🏁
Not quite your average V8 Supercar...

Built by the Transformers Team from Wanganui Motors for the 2005 Red Bull Trolley Grand Prix, this gravity-powered racer was designed to look like a Ford V8 Supercar and went on to win the event outright.

And they definitely didn’t hold back on the details 👀

It features fully independent suspension, four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes, custom steering, CNC-machined aluminium wheels and even a CD player that pumped out simulated Ford V8 engine sounds.

One of those slightly unexpected pieces of Kiwi engineering tucked away in the Southward collection.
