Meet Our MC for the Spring Fiesta! 🌸

We’re excited to introduce Gordon Gower, our MC for this year’s Spring Fiesta! 🎤

Gordon has a big heart for the community and has been a wonderful supporter of TMEC for the past couple of years, helping us behind the scenes with waste management at our extravaganza events.

But there’s much more to Gordon! He is also the MC for our Multi Ethnic Business Forum and a proud member of Ngamotu TM Breakfast Toastmasters.

With his great sense of humour, warm personality and talent for entertaining, we know Gordon will keep us smiling and laughing throughout the night with his jokes and good humour!

We can’t wait to have Gordon on the mic and we can’t wait to see YOU there!

Get ready for a fantastic night of music, laughter, dancing and celebration at Spring Fiesta! 🌺

🌸 Only 3 Weeks to Go Until Our Spring Fiesta Party!💃🕺

The countdown is on! Our DJ is busy putting together an amazing playlist for our Spring Fiesta Dance Party, and we want YOU to help choose the music!

🎶 Each table is invited to send us 5 songs of your choice— your favourite songs, songs that get you dancing, or simply songs that make you happy! This will help our DJ get the party playlist organised in advance and make sure there’s something for everyone.

Still sitting on the fence about joining us? Now is the time to get your ticket!

We guarantee a night filled with great music, dancing, laughter and plenty of fun!

We had a quick chat with our community about our recent Family Day event. Here’s some lovely feedback from Laarni Villaluz from the Filipino community, who attended the event with her son. It’s wonderful to hear about their experience and what the day meant to them.

🏐 MULTI-ETHNIC VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT IN TARANAKI 🏐

What an incredible weekend of volleyball, community and connection!

The courts were buzzing as local communities came together for a fantastic multi-ethnic indoor volleyball tournament. It was grassroots sport at its best — bringing people from different backgrounds together through friendly competition, teamwork and a shared love of the game.

We also had the opportunity to chat with Sandra Antill, who helped bring together a Swiss-German team for the tournament. Teams like Sandra’s highlight the wonderful diversity of our local volleyball community, with people from many different ethnic backgrounds coming together on the court.

An event like this doesn’t happen without a huge team of dedicated volunteers. From planning and setting up the courts to organising the draws, refereeing, keeping score and supporting teams throughout the day, so many people gave their time to make the tournament possible.

A special thank you to local volleyball legend Phil Gayton, also known as “Mr Volleyball in Taranaki,” who has been contributing to and building the volleyball community in our region for nearly 50 years.

Thank you to Phil, Sandra, all the volunteers, organisers, players and supporters who made this such a wonderful weekend for our community.

🏐 Different communities. One court. One community.
