🏖️ Heading to the beach this summer?

Always swim between the red and yellow flags – it’s the safest spot. Lifeguards are on patrol from November 2025 through March 2026 at our local beaches.

Here are the patrol times:

Mon–Fri: 11am–6pm (15 Dec–16 Jan)
Sat–Sun: 12pm–5pm (29 Nov–1 Mar)

✅ Westshore Beach Surf Lifesaving Club
Mon–Fri: 11am–6pm (15 Dec–16 Jan)
Sat: 12pm–5pm (29 Nov–1 Mar)
Sun: 10.30am–5pm (29 Nov–1 Mar)

✅ Waipātiki Beach Surf Lifesaving Club
Mon–Fri: 10.30am–5pm (20 Dec–25 Jan)
Sat–Sun: 12pm–5pm (6 Dec–8 Feb)

This morning was a special moment for Napier! The Youth Council joined Ngā Toi, Councillos and community champions, as we blessed and officially named the new dedicated youth space: Wātea – Napier Youth Space.

Our official opening kicks off at 12pm with fun activities, kai, giveaways, and chill vibes. Come down and check it out – everyone’s welcome!”

🎉 Big news for Napier rangatahi!

Our friends at Nga Toi Hawke’s Bay are launching something amazing — the Napier Youth Space at 41 Station Street, and we’re stoked to support this kaupapa!

📅 Saturday 6 December
🕛 12pm – 3pm
👥 Ages 12–24

This new space is all about connection, creativity, and good vibes — a place for young people to chill, try new things, and just be themselves. Opening day will have creative activities, kai, and a chance to help shape what this space becomes next - including it's name!

Bring your friends and check it out! Let’s make this a strong start for Napier youth.
