Better wellbeing support. Better transport. A stronger youth voice. More things to do.

👆These were some of the biggest messages we heard from rangatahi across Napier.

After hearing from hundreds of young people, whānau, schools, youth workers and community organisations, we’ve developed a draft Napier Rangatahi Strategy.

The strategy sets out how we can work towards a Napier where young people have a stronger voice in their city, feel supported and connected, and are excited about their future.

Now we want to make sure we’ve captured what matters most. Take a look at the draft strategy and tell us what you think. Have we got it right? 🤔

YCON VS HYC DEBATE!!

On the 14th of August from 5:00 pm Napier and Hastings youth council will be debating “THR the instalment of the fees free policy” at the Taradale Town Hall

Free food and drinks will also be provided for everyone! We can’t wait to see you all there!!!!

Youth Grants Are Open! 🌟

Got a goal you're working towards? Napier Youth Council wants to help make it happen.

With $7,000 available in Youth Grants, we're backing Napier rangatahi aged 12 to 24 who are building their skills, confidence and future.

Whether you're passionate about sport, music, art, fashion, performance, leadership, education or community projects, this funding could help take you to the next level.

This grant is for the dreamers, the doers, the creators and the changemakers. The ones putting in the hard work behind the scenes and taking brave steps towards their goals. If that sounds like you, we'd love to support your mahi!
